Me and my family come to this hotel quite often, and we really love it! Everybody knows us and treats us very good. The rooms are very clean and neat, and in some of the rooms you have a beautiful view. The food is delicious and the location couldn't be better. You exit the hotel, cross the road and you are at the first chairlift which brings you to the Dantercepies. We really love the hotel and can't wait to go back!

The Family owners are in evidence throughout the day.The staff know you by name. There is attention to detail in the appearance of all the public areas. The bedrooms are very warm and comfortable and plainly furnished. Fresh towels and linen every day. Spotlessly clean.
There is a fine restaurant and bar service. The food is beautifully presented and the menues are interesting. There are many generous extras to titilate the taste buds and give a sense of occassion. We plan to return!

Room Tip: Would ask for my room again!

The best hotel we have ever stayed in. Very clean rooms, wellness area and pool. The owners and staff were very attentive and nice. Good quality food with nice service on the table during dinners and breakfasts. Very close to ski lifts and ski rent. We will definately come back!

We escaped from the kids (and school holiday skiing) for 4 days mid week and had the most lovely time at this hotel. Gregor, Astrid, their family and staff made us feel very welcome and looked after. Everything was new and pristine and beautifully designed mixing contemporary and traditional. Great location, minutes from lifts and very central to the town. The spa was extrodinary and highly recommended as was the food. We will certainly be back!

We and an another family of friends stayed at the Hotel Laurin over Christmas recently and the unanimous vote amongst the 8 of us was that it would be difficult to out-do the warmth, efficiency, cleanliness and ideal location of this hotel. The owners, Astrid and Gregor, treated us to a week of wonderful hospitality which began with an upgrade for one of the rooms, warm apple strudel on arrival and spotlessly clean rooms which is a big must for me. You can see the pride and professionalism of this family-run establishment where constant upgrading has resulted in rooms with modern clean finishings, crisp bed linen, towels which are replenished twice a day, decent sized spotless bathrooms where showers work without back flow of water from clogged drainage and even a turn down night service with a quaint little custom of a small towel placed on the floor by each side of the bed.

Not being a spa person, I did not venture down to the spa or to the pool but my friends were more than happy to spend several sessions in the spa.

The food was good if not superb but the effort that was put into the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners was impressive.

Last but not least, its location is faultless. Right in the middle of town, it is 50 m away from where you buy the ski passes, round the corner from it are ski rental shops which will allow you to fit out your skis the day before ( if you arrive there late in the day) and actually deliver your equipment to the hotel for you. Best of all, although it is not quite ski-in accommodation, 75 meters up one end of the road is the Costabella ski lift and less than 150 meters down the other way is the Commenoi gondola. You can ski back almost to town and walk the few meters back to the hotel. Perfect!

If there are any drawbacks it is that it is of course not cheap to stay at. But would we return for another stay? Definitely!

Stayed in the hotel for a week of 28.12-04.01.
The property is run by a lovely couple and children who spend all their time in the hotel making sure the guests are happy. The location is great with 2 minutes walk to either of the two lifts getting you to either direction around the Sella mountain group.
The property is very fresh inside out. The restaurant and lobby/bar area is very cosy and beautiful with live music played every now and then and complimentary tea with cookies served at 4 pm. A nice touch.
We stayed in a deluxe room which is one of the larger types but still not very big. Please mind that all the rooms have see-through glass doors in bathrooms. We did not mind but heard some guests tried to change their rooms.
The rooms are extremely clean plus there is a turn-down service which was a nice bonus in a 4* property. There is no minibar or any fridge. TV has got a few british Sky channels and a Russian channel as well. About half of the guest at that time were from Russia.
We have mixed feeling about the dinner sometimes the choice of the main course was very limited (meat only) or non-existent. The portions are not very large but the owner would always come over to you to check if you wanted another portion.
The wine list was mediocre. The wines listed had no vintages indicated and the choice was limited while the margin charged was a bit more than elsewhere in restaurants or hotels in the area. But the owner told us we can bring our own bottles for a E15 corkage fee which we used most of the stay.
There is no spa in the hotel - you cant get any treatment. The pool-sauna area is very nice albeit very small and the sauna gets full very often. We felt it was too hot in the relaxing area.
Another important thing - there is a sign warning that children should stay in the pool area and the sauna part is for adults only (some german and italian guests prefer to be naked there), but the sign is in English only which meant all the russian guests (and their kids) ignored it. It was very hard to relax in sauna really.
The ski room is very good with great racks for skis and snowboards but strangely the boot warmers had no fans so our boots were wet every morning.
Overall a very nice hotel in a good location if we forget about the price. In our case it was E600/night for two adults in a deluxe room (booking 4 months in advance directly with the hotel and trying to negotiate it). We feel that the price is just not justified at all (we think that we payed double what it should have been) and next time will stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: All rooms have see through glass bathroom walls and doors
