“A Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed 22 February 2014

A lovely family (Novelli), a wonderful hotel and a beautiful resort. A must stay if holidaying in Selva Gardena. This was our second stay at this delightful hotel and already looking forward to returning next ski season. Hibberd/Barnett Party

Room Tip: 3rd floor on both visits was good

I stayed at Hotel Condor for a week and loved the homey, warm and friendly atmosphere. This is my first visit to the Dolomites and I cannot wish for a better experience. This 27 room hotel is family run and has great staff who are attentive and warm. Herr Novelli, Stefano, Bianca and staff are always present to ensure guests are taken care of.

I stayed in room 127 which was large and clean with loads of wardrobe space. The view from the balcony was nice and the free wifi worked very well throughout the hotel. The bathroom was spacious and everything worked perfectly. Breakfast and dinner were very adequate and well prepared.

This is an excellent hotel and I will not hesitate to recommend it to everyone.

We stopped here for the second time whilst travelling on our motorcycles. Everything is excellent about this hotel, lovely big rooms, spotlessly clean, marvellous food, fabulous service. On both visits we felt pampered and genuinely cared for. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. Visit you won't be disappointed.

We stayed here recently as part of a hiking tour through the Dolomites. The hotel was simply outstanding on all fronts -- wonderful room with a modern bath, luxurious bed, and spacious room. Wifi and room safe in the rooms. I don't know if this was an upgraded room but we had a marvelous sitting area and balcony, We had both dinner and breakfast in the dining room and found the experience terrific -- excellent service, wonderful, friendly, and attentive staff, and top notch cooking. Our only regret was we didn't have time to stay here longer.

We picked this place base on the previous reviews and were not disappointed. From top to bottom, this really is a great hotel.

The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in very good condition - all of the facilities are A+. The rooms are a decent size with comfortable beds and a good bathroom too with a good shower. The food was excellant - breakfast is a choice of breads, hams, cheeses, cereals fruit etc. and dinner is four courses and you choose what you want that evening when you sit down to breakfast. The ski locker is a good size and has heated boot storage. The car parking is underground and is provided at no cost. The bar is comfortable and reasonably priced too.

Pros: Well located, very well maintained, great staff, quiet and comfortable, almost ski in/ out (20 metre walk at most)

Cons: The only one is the 4 minute walk from the bottom of the hill back up to the hotel, which you will only need to do if you venture out to a bar at night.

Tips: The supermarket is down the hill, turn right, stay right and it's just past the church. Yello's is a nice bar, albeit a bit overpriced, Bar La Stua is a great bar. You buy ski passes just down the hill - go past the ski school on you left, walk 20 metres further down the hill and it's on your right.

All in all, this is a great hotel, in a great resort and we had a fantastic time. I would definitely recommend it without any hesitation.

We stayed for a week of skiing. The hotel has a very good access to the slopes and lifts. No need to walk too far or drive/take the bus ( less then 100 meters). If you need a service or repair, the hotel can arrange a pickup for a fair price. The dinner is generous with four courses of home made dishes. The hotel can accomodate for a vegetarian diet. A covered garage available for free. Nice wellness facilities with three different saunas a a tiny gym. Short walk to downtown Wolkenstein. Very recommended

We stayed here one night during a week-long hiking trip in the Dolomites. We were the only guests as a freak June snowstorm caused cancellations. The hotel proprietor was very gracious and helpful - we had to change our hiking plans because of the snow and he recommended an alternative for us that still ended up being very challenging in the weather.

Lovely steam room, etc. to help us warm up afterwards and the rooms were very comfortable. We had a local aperitif in the lounge (prosecco and Alperol) and a great dinner with local cuisine and fabulous service. Despite being the only guests, we were never made to feel uncomfortable - instead, we felt like family.

We couldn't get the free wifi working, but that wasn't a big deal for us on this holiday so we stopped trying.

Highly recommend - we're considering returning for a ski holiday.
