An excellent restaurant with perfect service, great food, fantastic wine. A reason to return to that area.

“Seafood to the next level...!”

Staying in Senigallia the last week of may we visited this marvelous restaurant laying alongside the adriatic coast. It is situated just in front of the statue of La Madonna del Pescatore, patron saint of the fishermen. Hardly to miss. As chef Moreno Cedroni is was of the most famous chef's in Italy we were very curious for this dinner!

The restaurant is nicely/modern decorated, making you feel comfortable from the very first moments. The welcome was very friendly.

We opted for the "quasi Tradizione" menu, what turned out to be a great choice.
It al started out with a cracker with parmesan scented ice-cream between. To prepare the stomach we were told...

The dinner started wit a trio of amuses based on sardines. 3 different textures; one jelly, one ice-cream and one crunchy cracker with some sardines paste. All delicious and very well made, combined with a foamy and sweet aperitif cocktail. A great starter. 9/10

The home-made bread (white, brown, cracker and grissini from recipes of Moreno's mother) was perfectly baked. Served with a great olive oil from Gianni Giacani from Jesi! 9/10

The first antipasti-dish was a composition of white tuna combined with a salsa tonnata and fried topinambur chunks. Great combination of flavors. 9/10

The second antipasti-dish was a little insalata di polpo. The freshness and texture of the polpo was simply amazing. It almost melted in your mouth! Combined with some acidic scents of mayonaise and vinegar and some fresh fruit this dish was perfectly balanced. Just great! 10/10

The third antipasti-dish consisted of superbly made polpettine di seppia, made in a japanese style. The texture of the polpettine was very delicate. A crunchy experience with a liquid surprise inside! 9/10

The primo-dish was a (sort of) lasagna con frutti di mare. Home made lasagna-leaves, fresh fish (mainly seppia) and ink! Although this was a really nice and creamy lasagna, it missed the wow-factor of the antipasti-dishes. 8/10

The secondo-dish that followed, the guazetto "al forno", was simply outstanding. The freshness of the used fish together with the pure and intense flavor of the stock was a match from heaven! Topped of with a great olive oil. The best dish of the evening for me! 10/10

The dessert consisted of a nicely made foam of yoghurt with perfectly sweetened strawberries underneath it. It looked huge but turned out to be very light and refreshing. 8,5/10

In the end, just before coffee, a little surprise pastry dish came to the table; "Vulcani Attivi". Five little homemade chocolates, each of the them referring to a active volcano in different parts of the world. Served on a map of the world! Very creative and tasteful! 9/10

Coffee and pastries were very good. 8,5/10

The wine list is extensive. I opted for a half-bottle of Franciacorta (they do have a great selection of half bottles. Great when there's is just the two of you!) followed by a decent bottle of white wine which was a perfect match to all of the dishes.
The service during the night was very friendly without being to formal. All dishes were very well explained by the excellent waiter. Nothing to complain about. 9/10
The bill was pretty ok for the experience we had. Worth every penny!

All in all, I must admit that this was a outstanding experience! Definitely worth visiting when you're around! Highly recommended!! We will return here for sure!!

“An unexpected delight”

Booking this restaurant for a Monday lunch time in August, just because I happened to be in the area, I did not realize the experience ahead of me.

There is little to add to other reviews other than endorse the fedback. The food was inventive and exquisite, the service was charming and excellent (although only 3 tables occupied) the evironment light and modern with calming colours.

A little pricey, yes, but as one of the best meals I have experienced, that was not a concern .

A re-visit next year when I am back in the Marche, is a certainty.

“This is the best seafood meal of my life!”

Having not eaten meat for over 30 years and been an avid seafood lover from Sydney, where the seafood is plentiful and first rate, we decided to treat ourselves to this 2 hatted restaurant that your site boasts people travel from all over the world to try and no I know why, it was Simply Sensational. WOW! is not sufficient enough praise for this dinner. We bag an with a tasting plate of a foam cocktail with 3 bite size anchovy tastes, one was a jelly, then and ice cream, then a pâté in a crunchy cracker, amazing - these were not ordered as was the baccala carpaccio with tomato and baccala mayonnaise- out of this world. Then our mains came, my wife had roasted sea bass with green beans and mustard sauce, it melted in your mouth. I had the grilled finish plate- thireteen years on ( as its been thirteen years since he cooked it). This was the ultimate dinner. On it was a 2 prawns, sole, amberjack, octopus, anchovy, calamari and lobster in bite size pieces grilled to perfection with the most amazing lattuga (lettuce) sauce. I was gob smacked. Desert was fried profiteroles with tangerine sorbet. We thought we had finished, wrong, then they brought a tasting morsel with a map of the world placed in front of us, with tiny tastes from Japan, Mexico, Brazil, South Arica and Santorini. Still not done .an aniseed sorbet with a piece of caramel chocolate. We topped this dinner off with a Garofoli Verdicchio and believe it or not the bill was only €135. Unbeatable for the price. My wife and I have vowed to come back again in a few years.
The chef is a genius.

“Beyond all limits....”

What about....The totally fulfilling! It's not just the food, but know the difference between the ordinary and excellence. Given the quality of the food and the service, at the top, the price is more than justified. Of course I give full marks for the ultimate gratification!
