This unassuming restaurant will ultimately answer the question "why was I given tastebuds?".
With a beautiful setting, right on the beach facing the Adriatic Sea, "Da Carmen" is a seasonal restaurant, open from may(ish) to october(ish).
A family run business, it serves fresh seafood cooked to order. Portions are huge, and it is hard to pick from the list. Don't miss the tempura style fried seafood and veggies, and do taste at least one of the pasta dishes, which will be served at your table in the very pan where thay have been tossed. Mussels, a local treat, are a must too, either grilled or sauteed.
Service is amiable and friendly. If you want to be seated in the outdoor patio, right on the beach, it is better to call ahead. Actually, it is better to call ahead anytime, especially in july and august, peak of the holiday season.
The wine list is reasonable but not outstanding. Local wines, such as verdicchio, a dry thirst quenching white, are good value for money, as is the place on a whole.
