“2 nights to remember”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2013

We found Ca'di Ferae on day 2, after the obligatory Google search following typical tourist trash fayre on the day of arrival. Being only a short walk from our hotel we wandered through the streets of Sestri in search of what others had spoken so highly of. We were welcomed by Freddi, a warm smile and a brace of English menus each providing choices from the sea for those fish lovers, and an equally varied selection from the land. Not an extensive menu, but well-balanced catering for even the most discerning of palate. Live music only added to the atmosphere and the culinary experience, an evening which for which we would have gladly paid more of a premium for. Two days later we returned with high expectations. The local market had set up base camp in the outlying streets and the restaurant to expanded its frontage in to the road to take full advantage of the higher foot fall. This time we sat outside, taking in both the market atmosphere and the solo guitarist revelling in his supporting role. This time, in addition to the menu we had enjoyed only two days earlier, we were also offered a set menu drawing on the produce local to the area. Again the experience was great, and had we not felt embarrassed to return every night, we surely would have done. A true oasis in a sea of Sestri mediocrity - hopefully one which many will enjoy over the course of this summer, and for many more. Well done Freddi and Muzzy!

“Excellent food with very reasonable price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2013

Very nice cozy place, excellent service. Food was very delicious. From appetizers we had seafood mix and octopus salad - both were delicious. Seafood pastas were geat as well. Sea brim and seafood ravioli also were excellent. For dessert we had homemade icecream and semifredo - both superb. Staff was very friendly, family atmosphere. On top of all there was life electric guitar guy who played entire evening adding for this excellent experience.

“Great family restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2013

Our first night in Sestri Levante was great thanks to a delicious meal at Ca' di Ferae. The lovely restaurant had a great atmosphere with an acoustic guitar player right outside the restaurant. The service was top notch and the food delicious!

“small but interesting menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2013

A small place so worth booking particularly in holiday periods. The menu would be a bit limiting if you came here too many times but what they had was all excellent and some a little quirky
68 euros bought us a good bottle of white friulli wine, 2 starters, 2 primi, 1 main, 1 dessert and water and coffee. Excellent value
We ate for starters a cheese plate with parmessan and gorgonzola served with honey a delicious orange marmalade and some pear slices for the gorgonzola we also had an aubergine pie with parmessan and mozzarella inside, for primi a delicious home made pasta with porcini and a paccheri (pasta) dish with tuna lime and mint which made for a very fresh tasting pasta, for main I had the vodka flambeed shrimps. Dessert was not in our plans but when we understood one was a warm ice cream with the orange marmalade we could not resist.
Everything was beautifully presented, go and enjoy.
Note to the restaurant, I come to Sestri regularly so please keep changing your menu so I can try other things. thanks

Great food (and an interesting wine list), wonderful people, nice atmosphere, add the bonus of live music, you just can't go wrong with our town's true gem!! More words are really not needed, just go and try it for yourself.
