We visited this restaurant on the advice of some people we met on holiday. It is run by Angelo, who is a fisherman and the chef, and Angela his wife. The menu is based on the fish Angelo catches in the morning and it is produced using locally sourced ingredients including Pasta and pizza dough. Wine is locally produced from their own organic vineyard in the hills above the Cinque Terre village of Vernazza and Angela is happy to show you her photographs of the fishing boat and vineyard.
There is indoor seating, but on the two nights we visited, we sat at tables placed on the beach and had our feet in the sand, with great views around the Baia del Silenzio.
We started off with local wine and a plate of appetisers which included mixed pizza and olives. The main menu consists of a mix of local pasta and fish dishes as well as vegetarian pies, all of which were excellent. They are very happy for you to go and look at the fish, to check their freshness before you decide on what to have. Angelo also makes excellent cakes to finish of the meal and make sure you try their own desert wine.
Sitting on the beach may not be for everyone, and don't expect really fast service, but the experience and the enthusiasm of Angelo and Angela, makes it worth searching out this little restaurant.
