“Wonderful Food and Atmosphere”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

We chanced upon Cantina de Corvi while visiting Spoleto and what an enjoyable experience we had. The waiter spoke excellent English and was able to explain the menu to us. He told us that the Chef had received the first of the Summer truffles that day and was making a spaghetti dish with them. I had not tried truffles before so opted to try this dish, and was not disappointed as the flavour was outstanding! As recommended by the waiter we tried the fish as we were told that it was one of the Neapolitan Chef's specialities. It too was delicious. The Chef's limoncello made from special lemons finished off the meal superbly.

“An excellent meal with special features”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

I can't speak Italian, but our waiter spoke such good English and had a delightful and helpful approach to explaining and recommending things from the menu and wine list; his wine recommendations, in particular were excellent. The food was beautifully cooked - pork fillet in lardo was a treat, served just pink. Strangozzi with truffle almost as good and the cheesecake much lighter than I expected, apparently a reflection of the chef being from Naples. And all finished with the by far the best limoncello that I have ever tasted - real lemons, not too sweet - again made by the chef.

“GREAT PLACE IF THEY HAD HAD FOOD!”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

We went to the trouble of finding this place as it had excellent reviews - it is off the beaten track and quite difficult to find. When we got there it seemed great - the menu looked excellent and it was a nice atmosphere and was full and there were several locals. We ordered some wine and studied the menu which was not huge - about 5 starters and 5 main courses. The waitress then came over and told us that virtually everything on the menu was off - apparently they were changing from the summer to autumn menu but there was no mention of this either outside on the menu or inside when we sat down. By then we had had a glass of wine and felt we did not want to go and look for somewhere else as there was nothing nearby. As my husband does not eat fish, he was left with no choice for the starter which we both had of duck and salad which was just some duck breast on a few leaves of salad with dressing, we both had the only choice for the main course of spaghetti with a pancetta and pecorino sauce (as the other choice was mussels and neither of us eat those). It was really disappointing. What we had was nicely cooked but not exciting and no different than we would have had at home and yet the menu looked so promising. The staff were friendly and everything else was fine but to only offer a couple of mediocre choices in a busy restaurant is not satisfactory.

“Amazing”
Reviewed 4 November 2013 via mobile

I went there with a group of friends last Friday but I'd like to start by saying that we couldn't help going back there on Sarurday as well! Amazing food, the waitress are very kind, professional and always smiling, prepared about wines and tastes! The food is great and original matches made by the chef are available to taste new delights! Definitely excellent!! The structure of the restaurant is small but it's cozy and elegant at the same time! A really good place where you can have a really good meal!!

“Wonderful Restaurant!”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

During our stay in Spoleto, we were lucky enough to eat at this restaurant. It was a little difficult to find but well worth the effort. The food was amazing. It's not the same menu that you see in almost every restaurant in the town....more innovated. The couple that owns the restaurant are wonderful and so helpful. And the prices are very good.

Be sure to give this restaurant a visit....your meal will be fantastic!
