Description: The dishes we offer are the result of our passion and our love to the kitchen and to the good things that this earth knows us. We start from a basic product that is oil, we use only oil of our production (NB olive oil is also used for frying) for beef and veal we rely on local butchers which they use exclusively animals raised in the wild. The meat of lamb come from our mountains of Campello, animals are bred and raised in the open countryside and fed exclusively on organic products by the shepherds who also provide us with cottage cheese and cheese. The meat is cooked in a wood-burning fireplace and exclusively use wood of oak and olive. The vegetables are almost all of our production, the rest come from gardeners of the place (they do not use chemical fertilizers). For wines we have a good selection of local producers of whom we know the reliability and experience in the wine industry. The pasta is almost all of our production, we have women who every morning preparing the dough rolled out by hand. The truffle is harvested by local quarrymen in our woods with the help of the dog and allowed only at certain times. The meats are all aged in our warehouses at an altitude of 650 m above sea level, and they are all locally produced.

We stopped here for lunch during a short trip to Umbria. The restaurant is rather remote and not easy to find but well worth the effort. Menu was a bit different with quite a bit of local game. Antipasto was excellent - various cheeses with home made chutneys, bresaola with rocket. Pasta was also very good and everything beautifully presented and explained by the very helpful waiter. He chatted about the food and also the wine, which enhanced the experience. The owner also came over a couple of times to talk to us so we felt very welcome. We ate inside in the cool and enjoyed reading the posters for the New Years Eve dinner which is obviously a highlight of the year there, but we could have sat under the trees outside. Certainly a place to return to and prices were normal for the area.

Came here our first night and really enjoyed it - recommended by our hotel. Serve local dishes and well supported by the local community as evidenced by all the locals present in the restaurant. I had a lovely wild boar stew and my partner had the thinly sliced steak. We both had pasta to start. The head waiter was fantastic and really makes you feel welcome. Worth a visit.

Poreta was a tranquil and perfect spot to base our Umbrian family holiday and Le Casaline was a great discovery. Family friendly (the owners live there) attentive and flexible for kids, but best of all everything is home made. They make several special prociuttos, the pasta and bread, delicious local antipasti and a liberal attitude to the local truffles. A lovely terrace, very reasonable and delicious local wines and friendly professional service. A delight, but please keep the secret.

We had a very nice time here at this genuine local Italian (we were staying down the road at Borgo Della Marmotta), sitting outside with views of the hills on a summer's evening. The menu is varied and fullsome: a truffle lovers delight! The staff were very friendly and sweet, and gave us little tastes of dishes between courses. Well worth trying if you are in the area.

We sat outside under the shade for Ferragosto, 15 August, which is a huge national holiday in Italy. We were 12. We had a fabulous and copious set menu inlcuding excellent barbecued Taglata di Manzo and home made pastas. Highly recommend. Wonderful and easy going family atmosphere.
