The bridge/acueduct is living history. Stop mid-span at night to gaze down at the lights of the basso and up to the moon and stars.
During the day, the view from the bridge is spectacular. Cross over to the mountain and wander the steep hillside trails or hike up to Monteluco, St. Francis' sacred retreat.

Italy is so often churches and monuments it is nice to find something that is both cultural and fun. An old aqueduct spanning a gorge. This was fun to walk across, look at the views, take photos and being asked by strangers to take their photos. The kids loved the birds swooping above us to plunge into he gorge.
It was a hot day yet everyone ambled along happily, smiles all around
This is a really nice break to take from the city centre.

If you're in Spoleto for a visit, you'd probably have to actively try if you wanted to miss the Ponte delle Torri. It's a great walk with expansive vistas, and provides easy access to an extensive network of hiking trails in the area. It's worth the brief walk across and back even if you aren't going hiking, and as others have said, do it during sunset for amazing views.

This aqueduct is in great shape given it's age. You can walk across it and see the natural spring water still running today. We topped up our water bottle and it was cold and clean!

Taking the path through the woods from Monteluco to the bridge gives a fantastic perspective as you enter Spoleto. What a shame about the graffiti!!
