“Great Price for a Good room”
Reviewed 7 December 2009

Definately the best priced place we stayed in. 60 Euro for the night including breakfast. The room was a little small, so I wouldn't suggest it for long stays, but not at all uncomfortable.

My wife and I stayed here recently and found it a great little hotel, ideally located in one of Spoleto's nice piazza's. Nice room and good staff. Reasonable tariff. Breakfast very nice.
Close to shops and restaurants also. Wonderful view from our bedroom window to the hills beyond.

This was one of the best value hotels I stayed in during a month travelling through Italy. It was right in the middle of the old city, very close to everything, really comfortable rooms and a really nice restaurant just underneath. Staff were also very friendly. I'd highly recommend it.

Hotel Aurora was one of the most reasonably priced hotels we considered in Spoleto. It is very conveniently located near the center of the historic district. The rooms were larger than other places we stayed in Italy, and very clean. We had a tiny little balcony overlooking a Roman amphitheater. The staff, although limited in English proficiency, were very friendly and went out of their way to help us, offering directions and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was typical Italian--sweet rolls, salami, cheese, and wonderful coffee. We would definitely stay there again.

The Hotel Aurora was very easy to find, and VERY convenient to most of the major tourist attractions. It also had parking, which made it even more convenient. The room was very nice, clean and bright, and had a view over the square. We easily walked to the Duomo (church) and bridge and found many restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. The staff was also very friendly and provided maps and advice. If visiting Italy again, I would definitely stay here again.

my wife and I spent there our honeymoon
in the middle of the night we felt a gas in the room (!!!)
there was ammonia leakage from the mini-bar, we moved
to the house of the hotel manager (nice woman) because the hotel was full.

they did not want to compensate us, claim that it was not their fault, finally they reduced the payment in 20 euro...

very good material for thinking, the breakfast is quite poor, the hotel in general is very clean (the air is less)

We, by chance, stayed in Spoleto in September 2007 in a TripAdvisor higher rated hotel than Hotel Aurora. We very much loved the town but were more 'iffy' about that hotel (but as the Irish say 'no names, no scandal').

In September 2008 three of us returned to Spoleto and this time stayed in Hotel Aurora.
We were concerned that
- Spoleto wouldn't live up to our high expectations and
- that Hotel Aurora would be a disappointment.
Our fears proved groundless.
Spoleto is wonderful, at least for three middle aged+ women.
The Hotel Aurora is also wonderful. We enjoyed its facilities, its friendly staff, its position in Spoleto and its price. My own single room had a spectacular view. If I could afford it I would live there in a heartbeat. We will be returning.
Thank you Hotel Aurora for a wonderful experience and memory.

  • Liked — It was comfortable and well placed
