Hotel is very well maintained with good sized quiet rooms and a beautiful internal courtyard. The buffet breakfast was excellent and coffee or tea were brought to your table. All the staff were friendly. and helpful. Secure, convenient parking is available at an extra cost. The hotel is at the lower side of the walled town, hence any trip on foot is initially uphill.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard

Located a short walk from the city center, ut along a quieter street. This offered better sleep quality than some other hotels on this trip. The owners, Carlo and his wife, were very nice and accommodating. Rooms were comfortable, clean with nice bathrooms. There was a nice gardin courtyard where we could play cards and drink some local wines. Breakfast was good

After the disaster of Valle Rosa Country Hotel, Spoleto (see review), this hotel is certainly up there. It is family run and is typically Italian, clean, spacious, friendly and most staff had English. I'm very pleased that we extended from 1 night fall back to 4 nights. This hotel has everything I desire in comfort, cleanliness, efficiency etc. I recommend for families, for couples and they even handled a bus tour with aplomb. The only drawback is a steep 20 minute climb up medieval lanes to City centre. I'm nearly 69 and made it with only 1 stop which happened to be a bar with cold beer!

We stayed in hotel San Luca, Spoleto, for the third time (6nights) and we enjoyed it immensely. We had a lovely, well equipped large room with a fantastic terrace next to the rose garden and a hydromassage tub in the bathroom. The breakfast was great and we had it in the beautiful courtyard. The whole hotel has a homely feel to it. We were warmly welcomed by Carlo and Federica and all staff, who went out of their way to help us in all possible ways. And to top it all up, there is the hotel cat Agato for the cat lovers amongst us ! We are definitely going back next year. We love Spoleto and love staying in Hotel San Luca !

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent, but my favourites are the rooms with a terrace. Slightly more expensive, bu...

Lovely hotel, beautiful, spacious, clean and bright. We had a cute little terrace we hung out on, read, and enjoyed a glass of wine. Large marble bathroom, well appointed. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety and the dining area was beautiful - you could sit inside or outside in the courtyard nest to the fountain. Staff was very nice and professional.
We stayed here for two days as a respite between Firenze and Rome - it was perfect for regrouping and relaxing. It is at the bottom of a rather steep hill, so it's great for the day's cardio!
If you are arriving by train, be aware that there are only a few taxis in town, so you may have to wait a while and it'll cost you about 15 euros for a 6 minute ride.

We really liked this wee hotel. Our room was lovely - spacious and spotless and very bright and airy. Our room had a terrace with a little table and chairs and we could see into the distance to the hills beyond - very nice indeed.
The staff were lovely - helpful and friendly
The location is great - a short walk upwards to the town and all the main areas of the town.
A delightful stay

We recently stayed at Hotel San Luca at the recommendation of our travel agent and it was an excellent choice! We enjoyed 4 days at this small, family run hotel which offers spacious rooms that are well appointed and clean. Our hosts, Federica and Paolo, were most helpful and gracious. As others have mentioned, it is in an excellent location within walking distance to center of Spoleto and restaurants. We definitely recommend this hotel to others traveling to the Toscany/Umbria regions and we will most certainly stay again if we return to this area on future trips to Italy!
