“Home away from home”
Reviewed 11 October 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We had a wonderful stay at Girasole with our extended family, consisting of 3 generations.
The house has 4 spacious and charming bedrooms with beautiful views of the surrounding rolling hills of the Umbrian countryside, including cypress driveways and sunflower fields.
With a kitchen that is equipped for a "Master Chef" candidate and a cosy living room, Girasole is truly a "home away from home".
As it was summer, we spent most of our days on the gracious terrasse and around the pool, next to the fragrant fig tree.
Every day we would also visit one of the charming little towns around Girasole, for instance Todi, Orvieto, Spello, as well as Assisi, the historic religious town and UNESCO world heritage centre.
Shopping and getting around was easy, as a big supermarket is closeby to Girasole, and the owners left a folder with detailed information and leaflets of what to do and where to go - in English.
Girasole is a historic building that has been lovingly renovated. The kitchen looks exactly like I pictured an Italian country kitchen to look like, one of the bedrooms is on the second floor within a kind of tower structure, the garden is filled with lavender, roses and a big fig tree...
It is a wonderful holiday home, designed and equipped for the good life in the Italian country side. I highly recommend it to anyone.

“It was a perfect family house, beautiful place and well equipped”
Reviewed 11 April 2012 for a stay in June 2011

This is a lovely house, feels very homely and welcoming. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen I have ever encountered on a holiday let. The house is spacious enough for our teenagers to find places to be away from us when they wanted. We had a lovely time touring the area -Todi and Perugia and Orvieto and then coming back and hanging out by the pool or eating in the shade outside the kitchen. There is a good supermarket nearby and a lovely organic market shop a couple of miles away. We had two glorious weeks there and hope to return soon.

“It was like staying at a friend's home, rather than a holiday rental.”
Reviewed 13 August 2011 for a stay in July 2011

Fiona obviously loves this house, and this is reflected in her enthusiasm to ensure you have an enjoyable holiday.

We have stayed in many rented holidays, but Girasole was by far the most homely. There are lovely old towns to visit in the area, and everything you need to enjoy yourself at the property. The views from the pool are beautiful, so while the children play in the water the adults can relax. We stayed for one week, but would love to have stayed for two.
