The gardens are magnificent and you need a half day to amble around them to get the best from them. If you need sustenance afterwards, you can have a great meal in the restaurant.

We spent 10 days on the lakes....Maggiore and Como and this was the best site of all. Easy to get to. Beautiful flowers...in September!!! Have never seen so many and so many magnificent dahlias. Other items great as well. Better than Isobella and Isola Madre, both of which were nice. Do not miss it. We had lunch there before the gardens.

This is about a pleasant 45-minute's walk from Pallanza and more than worth the effort. The grounds are really beautiful and they have an Aster garden that is fit to beat the band! Really something particularly awesome. Don't miss it!!

We read about this botanic garden in a leaflet in our hotel; and we were very glad we did. The visit was perhaps the highlight of a holiday affected by poor weather, and provided some welcome colour. The whole place was excellent; but we happened to circle the garden in the opposite way to what the map advised, and the result was that our last experience was the "dahlia maze" - a magnificent display and a lasting memory.
