“Incredible views in the middle of nowhere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

It took time to reach the skytop little Church of San Michele, but the magic of the views compensated our efforts. Great place.

“breathtaking views and tastes of italy at hotel angelo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

if you have the confidence to roam about on your own here are a few tips for sorrento arrea..1 catch the train early sorrento to vico equense.then just outside station catch bus to monte faito`to the top where the bus stops outside st angello hotel.the views are outstanding and you can have tastes of italy and wine at a reasonable price.or walk to the little church from the path next to cable car looking down on napoli.the cable car has been out of action. but if working you go on train to castle mare de stabia.the cable car is inside the station..from sorrento catch bus or walk to st agata visit smoking cat orlando bar for good prices on drinks and they always come with nibbles the family are lovely and give you a warm welcome.infact all the little villages at termini eughenes.or angelos bar at massa.its there to be found.

“Great Views - worth a trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014

It's definately worth a trip up to the top of Monte Faito, where you can admire the views and walk to the summit of the highest peak on the Sorrentine peninsula, namely La Molare. There are a number of bars and restaurants at the sumit. The cable car is out of action but you can get a bus from Vico Equense Rail station at 9am and 1.40pm, returning at 3pm and 5pm (these are the winter times - valid in May 2014 but there is a summer timetable coming into force soon - so check).

Thought we would revisit this stunning place but were very disappointed to find the cable car is closed for repair! Couldn't find this info anywhere except at the station at castlemmarre!

“Worth the bus journey!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2013

Be prepared for a local bus journey like no other. Lots of corners and you obviously just get higher and higher up the mountain BUT to be fair it just added to the whole experience as we were in hysterics laughing. The views are just out of this world! I have never seen views like that before without being on a plane! And only 1.60€ return! Bargain! We were the only tourists!!
