This place is a little gem tucked away close to the centre of Volterra in Tuscany. The people were friendly even with their limited English and out limited Italian. The place is amazing with vaulted ceilings. The rooms are basic enough but the building is wonderful. It was peaceful yet close to the centre of the village. There is free parking too which in Tuscan Towns is unusual. If you like buildings and don't mind not having everything modern then this is the place for you. Breakfast consisted of hot coffee or tea and breads/pastry and jam which is also usual for Italy. We loved it so much we are returning in October for a second visit. Volterra is a beautiful hilltop village with quiet lanes, good restaurants & lots of Alabaster which is the local craft material. Much less touristy than some nearby places. I would recommend it.
