We are two couples who had a wonderful stay at La Primavera! Silvia is a sweet, friendly host who takes great care and pride in her B&B and it shows! Our rooms were lovely...good size, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. They opened onto a comfortable common area that faced a pretty courtyard. Delicious breakfasts that included Silvia's home baking were included in the reasonable rates. The location just outside the gates of the old town is excellent. Parking is on site and we were easily able to explore the countryside using Volterra as a base. We would love to come back and of course stay at this lovely B&B!

As others have already said, this is a great B&B with no negatives. Everything was excellent. Volterra is a delightful walled city and La Primavera was a wonder base for our exploring of the region. We would most definitely stay there again.

The bed and breakfast was the perfect location especially of you come by car with parking onsite . It was clean, quiet, with a comfortable bed. Silva is very helpful and friendly and the breakfast is very good.

Room Tip: We stayed in blue room with no complaints.

After landing at the chaotic Pisa airport and securing our rental car, it was a short drive to the lovely walled city of Volterra.
We had reserved a room at La Primavera a quaint B&B just outside the city walls. The advantage of booking this place was that it was very easily accessible AND we had ample on site parking .
The B&B is set on pretty grounds with fruit trees and a lovely front outdoor courtyard.
The owner who speaks good English showed us to our large room with a wonderful spacious bathroom. The accommodations were more than adequate, with the exception of a few minor hiccups. Breakfasts were plentiful and the very short walk up to Volterra was easy. The only issue we had, and which I am sure was beyond the owner's control, was a pitiful neighborhood dog that barked and whimpered all night long.
Other than that, it is a great place to stay, with very reasonable rates and comfortable surroundings.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our visit to Volterra. The location is outside the walled city which has the disadvantage that you need to walk up hill just to get to the walls and then up hill again in the city. However, it is worth the effort since you have on site parking and a big comfortable room. Also, Silvia provides a good breakfast with goods she bakes herself. Finally, at the price point for this location, you can't beat it.

The room is very well organized, spacious, and very clean. The bathroom is private. The breakfast, a wide spread of homemade bread and jams, is included in the price. The location is very convenient just outside the walls of the old city: a couple of minutes walking and one is in the center of town. It was a bit strange to be in a room without windows, but we stayed only one night, so it wasn't a real issue. The wifi is included in the price, but it's only available in the main house. Overall I would recommend this accommodation.

We really enjoyed our 3 day stay at La Primavera. Sylvia operates this lovely B&B just outside the walls of Volterra, a short walk from the bus station, convenient for us as we were using public transportation. The location was peaceful with a lovely garden and front entrance. The room we had was large and nicely decorated with a good bathroom. The common room was cozy and inviting with sofas for sitting if you wanted to use the wi-fi. The dining area just off the sitting room was also inviting with table nicely set for breakfast which was laid out on the buffet. Breakfasts were very good, lots of thought given to selection, some lovely homemade breakfast cakes, cereal, meats and cheeses, toast, etc. Sylvia was welcoming and helpful. On our last day we had to wait until 1:20 for our bus, and she let us leave our heavy packs in the main lounge while we did some last minute sightseeing. We enjoyed the town of Volterra for the history and museums, the stunning views, the interesting little shops selling alabaster, and some good little restaurants. This B&B contributed to our positive experience of this little town and we are glad we made the effort to visit it.
