If you are intrigued by the history of this town, be sure to check out these cliffs. Walking along the top you can see fairly well preserved remains of the wall and you can't help but think about all the history that these walls represent. The view from the top was spectacular but there is more to see if you take the steps down and follow the short trail that leads to a stunning view of the cliffs a vantage point just across from them. My husband is not good with heights and he was not too freaked out until we got back up to the top and he saw the spot where we had been standing. It was a little point on the side of the cliff with nothing but a straight vertical drop below.
You don't need to allow a lot of time for this as there are no crowds, lines or tickets. It sits next to a campground and is quite peaceful.
