We were walking around Volterra looking for a restaurant recommended in a guide book. Went into Alla Vecchia Maniera on a whim (they had pappardelle al chingale (pasta with wild boar) on the menuboard outside. I've been waiting for this since we got to Tuscany. It was amazing!!! The pasta was cooked properly and the ragu was out of this world !! The bread is their own and it's really good bread. Vino Rosso di tavola also good and really good for the price. We are staying in Volterra and plan to go back for the pizza. With bread this good, the pizza HAS to be good!! Antonella and her boyfriend moved to Volterra to open this trattoria. Do yourself and them a favor, stop in and try something. I bet you'll be glad you did!!
