Good base as starting point or finishing the tour of Lake Garda .... The town is nice and the hotel is cozy clean and they have a very good breakfast , with espresso but for your info without cooked food, only cold food. The breakfast terrace is nice and the internet, contrary to the usual in Italy is working well well without 24 digits passwords! Close to everything but quiet , easy access with the car

Stayed: August 2013, travelled as a couple

I have stayed at the hotel a few times over the last few years. Friendly staff make you feel welcome and remember you from one year to the next. It's in a great location being in a quiet street just up the hill from the main part of Desenzano. Lovely rooms. A great base for a trip to Lake Garda. Thoroughly recommended

I stayed in this hotel in January 2013, while visiting friends in the area and also doing some work nearby in Verona, which is a quick train ride away. Most of the other guests were businessmen in town for some meetings I believe. The hotel is run by a brother and sister with years of experience in the hotel business. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The hotel doesn't look that special from the outside, but the lobby is comfortable with a bar area as well as a TV area. Guests sometimes hang out in these areas in the evening. One particular nice aspect to the hotel is that although it's not right on the water, it's a 10' walk to the train station, albiet up a bit of a hill, (to Milan, Verona, Venice, etc...) and a minute or two from the lake and more central parts of this quaint town on the south edge of Lake Garda. The breakfast in the hotel is varied and quite good. I was always full after breakfast.

I had a few problems with the lights not working properly in my room, but the hotel was excellent about quickly moving me to another room. The prices are very reasonable as well. Yes, there are more romantic and charming places to stay, probably for a lot more money, but if you want a solid three star hotel with a good breakfast walking distance to the train and downtown, at an excellent price, you can't beat this place.

While in the area, don't miss walking through the morning market along the lake front and visiting the roman ruins.

Room Tip: When I was there in January 2013, they were fixing up some of the back rooms, so one might smell new paint or construction in that area.

Perfect location close 3 min walk to the main square of Desenzano but far enough away to be quiet. Stayed here for 5 weeks in July and staff could not be more helpful!!!! Rooms lovely and clean and well decorated. Breakfast has a good spread (typical italian style breakfast) fridge in the rooms which is a bonus. Would stay here again no problems

Nice hotel at reasonable price, my room was always clean and tidy, breakfast was continental with lots of choice. Staff were friendly, I will stay here again.

Room Tip: some rooms have been upgraded, ask for a superior room as the showers were a little larger than the one I had.
