We spent 2 nights at the Gloppen campsite in Sandane as part of our Norwegian road trip to see the fjords. We were a party of 7 and we were given a lovely wooden cabin with 3 rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, dining and lounge area, completed with a little decked area outside. If you're lucky, you can even get a cabin that is right by the sandy beach. The campsite is tranquil and clean.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the campsite to Sandane town centre (which has a decent supermarket - so handy for stocking up food if you're on a self-catering holiday). During our stay in Gloppen, we discovered a trail that took us from the centre of Sandane all the way up to the nearby delightful Holvikfossen. The start/entrance to the trail was difficult to find, but once we found it, it was very easy to follow (the path was marked along the way).
We really enjoyed our stay in Gloppen, and I would love to visit again!
