“Rural idyll - perfect for relaxation and sight-seeing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2010

We have now returned five times to the gite, La Naomath, in this wonderful part of France. The accommodation is rated 3* by Gites de France and has everything you need for a self catering holiday - easily fulfilled with the local markets, shops and hypermarkets in abundance. The location is a little outside Bayeux itelf but only 3 minutes from the main autoroute, and the tiny rural hamlet of Damigny is just so peaceful and relaxing. There are well tended and planted gardens around the premises with a private area for the gite. Car parking is very secure on site. The hosts are a wonderful family who run both the gite and the B&Bs themselves, and we are very proud to now call them our friends.

We spent four nights here and found every aspect excellent, the owners were most gracious , as we felt welcome from the moment of our arrival. The location is nice and quiet and a bit remote, which suited us well. Excellent location fro touring the invasion beaches and other points of interest. The breakfast was very nice and fresh every morning, with fresh rich coffee, the pastries were excellent. Yes we would return and stay here again in the future.

The guest house looks lovely for a family, but the double room which has apparentley just been completed was although decorated very nicely, very odd. It had no window!! no storage for clothes was very cold and I imagine in the sunshine very hot. the desciption states that there is heating, tv, & fridge this might be in the family room but not in the double room. It is quite isolated with no shops or cafes nearby so take a kettle if you want a hot drink. the owners were very nice!

We have been visiting the Normandie for 3 days and have been looking for a central point to stay in order to see all important places other there. At first I have to say it wasn't easy to find a place for a family of 5 and especially not staying longer than 3 days. Last but not least we found that place. From the first contact on, the hosting family was very nice and friendly and flexible. Even with unexpected problems for us they have been very helpful to us to solve a difficult situation. Many thanks again for that! Overall impressions : very nice people, nice location, everything very clean and an exellent breakfast!!!
