First impression not good with poor maintenance of exterior and not possible to book in until 1700.
However the interior of this lovely old building is well restored and tastefully furnished. Sadly our room on the second floor, i.e. at roof level, was very hot when we arrived. This could so easily have been avoided by lowering the blinds at the velux windows during the daytime. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well-appointed with plenty of hot water. The floorboards are very creaky, so one hears any movement from adjacent areas, but maybe this is to be expected in such an old house.
The standard of food was disappointing and does not meet the 3 star rating.
