Description: The Foresters Arms is an old 16C country Freehouse inn with beamed ceiling and large inglenook fireplace set in the small village of Graffham, in the South Downs National park. We serve quality Italian food prepared and cooked to order by our chef Francesco. We also have three cosy letting rooms.

We had visited this pub several times this year whilst walking on the Downs and enjoyed the atmosphere and good beer. We decided to book a table for lunch with some friends a few weeks ago and were fortunate that the weather was warm enough to be able to sit in the garden. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and the staff were attentive and helpful. The food came surprisingly quickly and was just as good as I had hoped. We have recommended this pub to our friends and will certainly be back again.

The village is a delight and there are good walks in the area.

Can't fault a thing - the music, the food, the atmosphere - all excellent standard. Highly recommended.

We were staying in Graffham and had one meal at the Foresters which came highly recommended. It has a lovely cosy atmosphere and it beautifully decorated. Friendly landlady and waiter. Beer good.

The menu is a bit 'upmarket' so it you crave traditional pub grub, this is not the place for you. I suspect the chef was having an off night but the food wasn't awful. My risotto was overcooked and the rice was mushy so I left half of it. The vegetables were nicely cooked. My husband had a duck salad which he enjoyed but there was a huge amount of cooked onion in it which he felt was rather odd in a salad, and there was just too much of it. He also had a portion of mashed potato on the side which he enjoyed.

Overall, a lovely pub. The menu is not simple and the chef could perhaps put a little more thought into the execution.

Have enjoyed the Foresters Arms three times this year. Dinner with friends in April, a lunch with family in July and another dinner (with same friends) a few days later. Made very welcome each time, consistently excellent food and service, and reasonable prices. The village of Graffham is not really en-route to anywhere, so you will need to make the effort to enjoy this pub. It is worth it, believe me, and making a booking is a good idea.
