“Horrible bed!!”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

Spacious family room. Horrible bouncy double bed. Appalling policy of sharing family room. Despite space for four bodies, my daughter was not allowed to share our family room as she was over 18!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely outrageous policy cost us an extra £50, won't stay at days inn again!

If quality can be defined as "fitness for purpose", I generally select budget hotels a place to break a journey and rest, wash and sleep. In this case the room suited my purpose admirably (and exceeded expectations with the pillows) except for the thin walls. I awoke at 03:40 but instead of drifting quickly back to sleep, I lay awake being serenaded for a couple of hours by the snoring coming from the room next door. One can't really blame the staff for this, and it won't happen to everyone ,but I suggest only visiting if you are a sound sleeper.......

We had a over night stay to attend a wedding in Burntwood, we were pleasantly surprised with the comfort of the bed and cleanest of the room. Emily on reception was very welcoming and extremely helpful, if that way again will not hesitate to book a room again.

For a utilitarian approach to an overnight stay, my motel chain of choice is Premier Inn ; Days Inn happened to be more convenient for the purposes of my stay on this occasion. A similar business model exists and the useful direct connection to the Norton Cane service station facilities make this an acceptable choice. Premier Inn remains the 'stopover' with THE most comfortable bed ; it also surpasses Days Inn on all matters relating to customer service. The DI Receptionist was pleasant enough but when I asked at the outset for a 'quiet' room, her apparent default position was an immediate 'No - we're fully booked'. More training please on the subtleties of positive customer engagement...and how to decline a request with minimal fallout. In this space, Premier Inn wins hands down...

Room Tip: Ahead of your stay, request a quiet 'Betty's Lane side' room

We were welcomed by a very chatty and helpful receptionist. Our room was fine with a comfortable bed. Standard room for a motorway lodge, but just what we were looking for after a visit to the National Arboretum. The only downside was a greasy meal from the Services restaurant.

the receptionist Lyndsey was absolutly brilliant she could not do enough to help us even sorting sharing of taxi with other guests, room comfortable and very clean - only complaint no alcohol served at services no local pubs open after 11:30 Cannock is a very boring place
