there isnt much to choose from when it comes to hotels in stord but this has to be the one to stay at.
nice size rooms. very functional bathrooms.
the room had a kettle and minibar.

The swimming pool area is a bit run down but maintained.
The restaurant had a limited menu but very good food.

a big draw back was the laundry service. be careful what you deliver, they seem to boil everything, and even though they promised to have my clothes back by the end of the day, i had to wait until the day after.

otherwise a nice hotel and will stay again.

Room Tip: ask for a room in the new part of the hotel.

Stayed here for business but would defiantly consider going with family. The room was newly refurbished, very nicely done. Large room for a Norwegian hotel, with separate sitting area. The food in the restaurant was also very good. There is a pool and sauna, not yet upgraded, but seems to be well maintained.

The room was okay having a typical business hotel type decor in the modern minimalistic trend. Not overly large, just enough room for the bed, armchair, mini desk and minibar. Hospitality tray with el-kettle. However the coffee machine on ground floor accessible at all times for hotel guests, but a bit of a bind if your room is on the 7th and top floor. Tv on wall. Wifi Bathroom nice size and well fitted out, excellent complimentary toiletries.
Weekend stay. Restaurant 8th floor with excellent views of the town. Breakfast Sunday morning varied and delicately presented. Unfortunately the little details such as hot plates, food labels etc marred the overall impression somewhat.
The hotel has in recent years been refurbished and extended. However one would assume that the pool and sauna in the basement are not of recent years. The showers were a bit dodgy and offering absolutely no privacy. In fact when the door to the communal sauna is opened, anyone there can get more than a glimpse of anyone showering! There are no lockers. What do you do with your room key? No hair dryer. No towels - bring your own from your room. The pool itself was quite okay though - if a bit tired.
Staff were without exception friendly and helpfull.
Car parking no problem.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst on business in the area. Was given a room with 2 singles when I had requested a double but this was immediately rectified by the hotel staff. Not really the hotel's fault as I booked through a booking website. Room was clean and comfortable but maybe a little too warm. Used the restaurant on both nights and food was pretty good. Would definitely stay here again.

What a surprise to find in this small municipality a hotel fully comparable with any first-line hotel in Bergen City . Wel sized rooms ,excellent beds and bathrooms with modern fixtures . Cozy piano bar . Excellent breakfast . Dinners were well prepared . Friendly professional staff .

Stord ( 18000 inhabitants ) is at the entrance of the Hardanger Fjord , one of the 2 most important fjords in Norway , There are many places of interest to visit ,

We recommend this hotel for business/conventions or tourists .

Modern room with well appointed bathroom, clean. Breakfast good apart from when busy when buffet runs out and is not replenished quickly. Limited dinner menu with some items unavailable but food is good. No/poor wifi in common areas. Good wifi in room.

Breakfast was excellent and the reception area was cosy. Good meeting room facilities as well.
