The Kaissa is a small 3 star hotel about 5 minutes walk from the train station in Adler. The location was ideal for getting to different Olympic Venues. Also, the hotel is right next to the seashore. My daughter and I shared a "Family room" - somewhat larger than a normal room, and it had its own bath. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel staff was helpful and friendly.
The room rate included breakfast, which was marginal. One reason may have been that most of the other guests were Japanese friends and family of competitors. The hotel was making a real effort to provide Japanese-firendly food for breakfast. American-friendly, not so much. One disadvantage of the hotel was that it was not within walking distance of decent restaurant.
This may be true of many hotels in Russia, but smoking was allowed most everywhere. Big negative!
In sum, it was a good place to stay during the 2014 Olympic Games.
