The hotel is located in the centre of the town next to the church and the boulangerie. Thankfully the church clock runs in silent mode between 8pm and 7am so doesn't get in the way of a good night's sleep.
The rooms are clean and well maintained, if a little basic. The staff are friendly but the initial welcome could have included being conducted to our room - this would have avoided us having to point out that the landing lights hadn't been switched on, or ask where the second set of towels was located.
Breakfast, served in the bar, was a self-service affair and included all the usual elements.
The real surprise was the attached restaurant which initially seemed a little unwelcoming and seemed to promise little that wasn't average. The presentation and quality of the food was, however, exceptional and we were very pleased we had the opportunity to eat there on a second night.More
