After meeting with a local business owner, I stopped off in this bar. Wide ranging menu, choose the Chicken with Matties signature sauce with garlic fries.
One of the nicest meals i have had in a long time, and a very reasonable price!

We traveled in for work from out of town and were staying nearby at the Balllygally Castle Hotel. We went to check out the pub and couldn't have had a better time! The owner, Allan, took great care of us and made sure we felt welcomed. The food was delicious and the drink selection was excellent. The live music on Thursdays was a great time and we ended up staying until close. The prices cannot be beat either. Matties is definitely a must stop if you're driving up the coast of Northern Ireland

We had a brilliant meal in Matties Meeting House. This is a complete hidden gem just off the main Antrim Coast Road in County Antrim. We were all tired and hungry having spent a few days in our caravan (great as that was but we needed someone to pamper us).

We were greeted by very friendly staff and a roaring fire. The place is very homely in feel and has a great mix of locals and occasional visitors. It is a proper Irish pub.

I had the Boxer Jims Guinness Pie (a house speciality) which was simply delicious. My wife had a chicken curry - again, delicious. The kids had homemade chicken goujons (they are very discerning when it comes to chicken goujons and they loved them). Portions were more than plenty.

Dessert was undoubtedly the best Baileys cheesecake I have ever tasted (and I don't have a sweet tooth). We had to order another.

The Guinness was finished and (for the Guinness purists) still had a cream coating the whole way down the glass. Clare had a great Irish coffee and we all went home very happy.

Staff were excellent and very friendly.

A tremendous find - highly recommended.
