My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times this year, when we have been in Kent on business and now we would not dream of going anywhere else. Jill Geliot is truly the best hostess that you could wish for and her breakfasts are spectacular. Pub over the road does a nice steak too.

Stayed for 7 nights in this lovely place whilst sightseeing in Kent. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and we enjoyed the company of the other guests. The view of the beautiful garden from the circular lounge and breakfast room adds to the feeling of relaxation. The breakfasts are wonderful with a wide choice. The pub nearby serves good food and is open every evening which is very convenient. There are interesting places to visit nearby and it's also quick to get on to fast roads to go further afield. We didn't manage to see all the places we'd like to in a week so definitely hope to return.

We stayed in this lovely oast house whilst house hunting in Kent. It is situated in the lovely village of Hernhill and sit amidst an immaculate garden. We stayed in the round room above the guest sitting room which was charming and very comfortable. Our hostess was very welcoming with a tray of tea on arrival with home made cake. The place is very clean with lots of interesting books around to browse through and the breakfast was delicious. Usually i would prefer an ensuite bathroom but to put a bathroom in that room would have totally spoiled the character of the place so the private bathroom opposite was great. Altogether a lovely short stay. I would return.

Room Tip: A car is essential here.

I was greeted with a tray of tea and biscuits. I stayed in a character room which has a lower part with a small sitting area beside the window - very nice for watching the sun setting! The room was clean and it was cleaned every day. A little fridge contained water and was perfect for storing yoghurts etc. The oast house is beautiful, the countryside peaceful, the fruit trees were full of apples or pears, just lovely. For everybody seeking peace and quiet this is the right place! However, you really need a car if you want to get around. There is a taxi service I have used which was very reliable.

We stayed for 4 nights at this lovely Oast Hose in Hernhill Kent. The ensuite room we had was lovely and came with a fridge, and a good selection of teas coffee and other drinks and biscuits etc. It had a lovely view out onto the well kept garden and certainly a good nights sleep in the comfortable bed.
With an "enjoy England" Breakfast Award, you are spoilt for choice, as there is everything on offer, from cereals, fresh fruits, full english, continental, cheeses, fish, and pastries, and hope made preserves, all served in the delightful round oast house room. A perfect place for touring the North Kent Coast and Canterbury, and with an excellent village pub, a few minutes walk away that serves good evening meals.
TV is not in the bedroom, (available downstairs in the lounge) but a radio and a good selection of books in the room are provided. It is certainly a gem of a place. No hesitation in recommending it.
