My wife and I took a little Living Social break at Lough Allen. It was a very relaxing break. Th hotel is located on the shore of the Lake and not far from the village. There is a marvellous leisure centre and the highlight for me was the outdoor hot tub even though the weather was cold. Breakfast was included. All food was served in the dining room and was excellent. The room was spacious and well appointed.

My Fiancé & I recently stayed with a Deal rush voucher and had a comfortable stay the room was spacious and well equipt for our stay. We had a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the Lough.
All the food we had in the hotel was tasty, it may have been nice to have more of a selection on our set menu.
Arriving on the Sunday we were surprised how busy it was, which was great to see.
Our only negative point was that that pool was in desperate need of a clean, we say black scum on the pool tiles by the steps, handrails in need of a good wipe as well as the glass partitions.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with Lough view and balcony

Myself and my husband stayed here at the end of October 2013 and had a great time. We went for his birthday and before we left I emailed asking if there was any possibility of a lough view room, I got an email back less than an hour later saying we had been upgraded to a suite. I was over the moon with this especially as we got a really good deal from grabone for two nights stay, breakfast and a 2 course meal on one night. The food was great, as was the bar and the room. We also had access to the steam room, pool and gym which were all fantastic.

A little thing that would have made our stay even better would be if they got the driveway down to the hotel resurfaced - there are some quite large holes you have to dodge. Also the windows and curtains could have done with a clean, but this is a seasonal hotel and we stayed the night before they were closing up for the winter so assuming this will be sorted when they reopen in March.
:)

Overall the stay, staff, food and atmosphere was fantastic, can't wait to go back! Definitely somewhere to go if you want away from it all!

Room Tip: Ask for a lough view room - views are amazing!

We stayed here on a dealrush deal for 2nights. We had a lake side view with a balcony which was unexpected. The room was light, bright and clean. Couldnt fault anything with the hotel. Would recommend!

Husband, daughter and myself stayed here for two nights. This is a lovely place overlooking the lake and the building is impressive. The hotel was spotless and the food absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a great variety of food to suit all palettes and there was plenty of it. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The first evening we ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. The second night we ate in the bistro and again the food was excellent. There was good entertainment for both nights which was very enjoyable.

There is a pool to swim in and beauty facilities and spa.

I will definitely return to this hotel as soon as possible. Thoroughly recommended.
