Just home from a fantastic trip along the Great Glen.

My expectations were exceeded in terms of the whole experience from start to finish. From my initial enquiry about the trip to being dropped off at the end nothing was too much trouble for Mike and his staff.

Throughout the trip we were consulted on the options available for each day, with each option explained in detail. The whole time we were challenged and encouraged, but in a safe supportive way.

The food was amazing from wonderful sausages for breakfast to fabulous three course evening meals. Mike made a better chocolate cake in a Dutch Oven over a gas burner than I have had in many cafes/restaurants. His large outdoor wok was also put to very good use to make very tasty fajitas.

I went on this trip on my own and felt included at all times and would encourage anyone else who is concerned about going on this trip solo not to be.

We had a fantastic four days of canoeing down the Spey. Our guide Indiana Dan had thought of everything to make it flow perfectly. A short training session at the start was built on each day to reflect the increasing complexities of the river. Great and ample food each day and night to replace the hard spent calories. Weather was kind and we all had smiles on our faces at the end despite a couple of capsizes and Dan's jokes! Dan is a great guide who approaches everything calmly and communicates brilliantly with adults, teenagers and even fishermen openly and warmly. A genuinely nice guy with a wicked sense of humour - which fitted well with our family group. Great and varied river. Can't recommend the trip highly enough. We will definitely use b+p again.

Boots n Paddles delivered exactly what they said they would, on time, with a friendly face. Excellent brand new sea kayaks, driver waiting for us at the station to take us directly to a remote spot, then picked up right on time a week later. An outstanding service and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
