“Fantastic little cabin, cozy and clean, great location”
Reviewed 29 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

We loved staying here, the cabin was clean and cozy, and had everything we needed. There were provisions provided for us including fresh eggs and organic coffee, and a beautiful bunch of Lillie's . The location was great with some great walks to enjoy and close to drive to shops and other locations for sight seeing. the burn which runs just behind the cabin bubbled along and sounded so nice, and a little red squirrel greated us in the mornings when he would come and feed from the feeder just next to the cabin. Loved it

Thanks for your lovely review about your stay in Affleck - we’re really pleased that the squirrel paid nutty visits to the garden feeder during your stay :) & that you had everything you needed. It was lovely to meet you on part of your homecoming journey.

“Great stay if you want to see the beauty of Scotland”
Reviewed 24 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Situated a 10mins drive outside Inverness, the Cabin sits amongst the beautiful Scottish countryside. It has everything you will need for your stay, whether it be for one week or longer or for even just a few days. I stayed with my girlfriend, my sister, and my sister's boyfriend for two nights (21st to 23rd February 2014). We wanted a secluded place close enough to visit any convenience store for supplies (i.e., food, drink, etc.,) and also not too far away from the main reason for going to Scotland, Loch Ness. We got both with this place. Although near to Inverness, there is also a small village a little closer, called Beauly, which has a few shops (including a co-op) and restaurants (Shimla is a great place for a late night curry delivered straight to your door). As for the Loch Ness, we travelled 50 mins to for Augustus by car for a boat tour (with Cruise Loch Ness), which was great drive as it allowed you to see the countryside. If this is too long for you (and you just want to see Loch Ness) the Loch is about 30 to 40mins by car. Unfortunately I cannot speak of any walks you could go on near the cabin. However, we were told of many walks close to the cabin so if you're a rambler then you won't be without. We all enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return next time we want to get away to a quiet little corner of Britain. The owners, Richard and Antonia, are both extremely pleasant people that try to ensure your stay is equally as pleasant and that all your needs are catered for.

“Heaven is a lodge in Moniack!”
Reviewed 23 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

I was here in October with my fiancée and 18 month old daughter. The lodge has been beautifully renovated with love and attention to detail. When we arrived there were flowers and a care pack with tea, coffee and milk to get us started. Shops are only a short drive away but food deliveries can be organised.

We found the owners to be lovely people who couldn't do enough to help you, recommending walks, day trips and restaurants (even posting a map for us through the door so we didn't get lost!)

The kitchen has everything you could need, the lounge is comfortable, the lodge is toasty warm (even though it was really cold outside!) and the bed was probably most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! Our daughter loved playing amongst the trees in her wellies too! NB. Mums, the double bedroom has plenty of space for a travel cot!

If you are looking for somewhere peaceful to relax and unwind, where all you can hear at night is the Moniack Burn, you have a stunning view of the Highlands from the windows and spectacular walks everywhere you look, this is the place for you.

Thank you to Richard and Antonia for all their hard work.

“Lovely Weekend”

We were a group of 4 adults staying here for the weekend and had a lovely time. The chalet had everything that you could possibly need and was very clean. The owner had made a great effort to make our stay comfortable.
Basic food stuffs had been supplied as well as fresh flowers. Antonia (the owner) met us on our arrival and she could not have done more for us.
The walks in the area were spectacular and very peaceful.
I would happily recommend this to others.
