Description: The Restaurant at Brandy Hole is a family run business. The club underwent a full internal refurbishment between December 2010 and April 2011. The spacious restaurant offers a comfortable sofa area allowing ample room to relax and enjoy a drink from the well-stocked bar. We offer lunch, afternoon tea and dinner open to both members and non-members. An extensive deck adjacent to the sea wall is perfect for dining al fresco, with comfortable seating and fantastic views over the river Crouch. The restaurant itself is available for hire for functions including wedding receptions & ceremonies, birthday parties, corporate days & business events. The restaurant also has two small private dining rooms, for parties of up to 16 people. Our main objective is to offer a wonderful experience to all our visitors - whether they come for a quick drink, evening meal or afternoon tea. The restaurant has done well since re-opening & many customers have commented favourably on the stunning refurbishment of the club interior. We are all very excited to see the next stages of the club's development start to take shape.

“Lovely spot on a sunny day”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Excellent location overlooking the river. Lovely outside seating area with huge umbrellas for shade. The food was lovely. We chose several starters to share plus mussels.

Great service and a fab location. Will be visiting again soon

“No food”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

My wife and I visited on Sunday afternoon, intending to have a sandwich and a drink each. When we went to order sandwiches we were informed that they were not doing food orders unless you had booked. They said we could try again in a half hour. We got a drink and decided we would try ordering scones and jam. We had left it about three quarters of and hour and thought surely asking for scones and jam would not be a problem, only to be told once again they could not serve any food.
This is the second time we have had this experience. If they are trying to increase clientile then surely this is going to have an adverse affect, particularly as The Anchor just down the road gives such good service and food is never a problem.

Thank you for you review of our restaurant. I apologise that you did not get a chance to dine with us this time, we are currently in the process of building a second kitchen in order to cater for the vast number of customers coming through the door. Once this is finished catering for numbers will not be an issue, nor will the wait time. Please check our website for when kitchen is complete at www.brandyhole.com
Thank you

“2nd visit disappointing”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

Our first visit in November last year was impressive. Food was superb, top class. We booked again this week only to find the food was not any where near the standard we had experienced. The waiters were very young and inexperienced (but friendly). One of the waiters put red wine in an ice bucket and didn't have a clue how to pour wine spilling iced water over the table. Pork was very dry and disappointing and too much creamy sauce over the fish dish. My toast with mackerel pate starter was buttered!! The location is beautiful but it is out in the sticks and you need your wits about you driving down the very narrow country roads.

Thank you for your feedback for our restaurant. I appreciate that your last visit was not up to our usual standard, and can only apologise we got it wrong for you this time. we are currently training our staff, this is something we do often, including new staff who have never worked here before.
The red wine in an dice bucket was an inexperienced staff member, and i will make sure that he is reminded of this.
The second kitchen is currently underway, which means a bigger kitchen to get more food out at a better quality.
We do hope you give us a chance to prove we have learnt from these comments and give the restaurant another try.
Hope to see you soon
