We were greeted at the port by one of the owners and they took us to the hotel, complimentary service!
The hotel is located about 5minutes walk downhill to the port about 10 minutes uphill to Chora the town.
The owners were friendly and gave us a drink on arrivals and showed us a map and talked us through the island before shown to our room.
We had a room in a seperate building on the second floor, it had a lovely view of the port at hills. The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed. The aircon was free, there was also a flatscreen tv and a fridge for use.
We hired a quad and the parking was free.
Lovely hotel and friendly staff took us back to the port, would definately stay again!

We stayed at Homers Inn for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. If we ever have the chance to go back to Ios this is where we will be staying. The staff (family who own it) are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were all cleaned every day. We loved chilling in the amazing pool area, where the cocktails were some of the best we had in Greece. I would highly recommend this place. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Very helpful... Had travel insurance problems and they couldn't of been anymore helpful, let us use their phone/ computer and print for free. Always willing to help: calling restaurants to book dinner or with taxis. Room had arcomdintioning and cleaned everyday. Pool has a great bar (cheap drinks) and amazing view. Bus stop just outside the hotel or 5min walk into town... Overall great holiday thanks to these guys. The owners make the place.

We stayed at Homers Inn for 2 nights as the third stop of a 4 island holiday. I had previously stayed here 33 years ago and we visited the owners on a day trip to Ios two years ago.

So staying at Homers Inn was an automatic choice on our return. The same family run the hotel and the welcome was especially warm. Ios has changed a great deal since 1981 and Homers Inn now comprises three buildings with a good swimming pool now added.

The other hotel benefits include excellent wi-fi, accessible both in rooms and around the pool, TV with above average choice of channels and picture, a location between the port and town so each can be reached on foot, and a good breakfast. The room rate was also the lowest of our four hotels.

Against that, the bathrooms in the hotel could do with some updating but otherwise the hotel is clean and good value for money.

From the moment we were collected at the port we knew we had struck lucky. This hotel is ideally located 5-10mins walk downhill to the port or 15min uphill to the old town/village area. The bus stop is directly opposite and buses run very regularly to all areas of interest. We felt really at home here & the family who own the hotel go out of their way to be friendly & helpful - nothing is too much trouble. The pool area is fantastic - huge pool with amazing views. The hotel is clean and well looked after. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel as we prefer the personal touch to a large corporate hotel. Ios is a party island in July/August but when we went -Sept 17th, it was quiet. Head to the village in the evening for music, bars & food- ciao bella italian restaraunt was very good, the port has good traditional tavernas where you can get fresh fish. Mylopotas beach has good watersports, see the sunset from Koumbara beach and a day trip over the island to see Manganari beach is a must. We found the island relatively cheap compared to larger islands or Spain, & many people hire quadbikes to get around the island. Even at the end of the season the buses were running every 1/2hr until 11pm from the port to Mylopotas beach. Be prepared to stay overnight on Santorini if heading to Ios as ferries don't always link up with flights.

Room Tip: we had room 202 which has a very large balcony with gorgeous sea views. The room was spacious with w...

Spent a wonderful week here

All looking new and tastefully decorated, this hotel was easily amongst the best in greece I have stayed at

Spotlessly clean, the family who run the place are there on the spot all the time and nothing was ever too much trouble. They even gave us newly arrived guests a short welcome to Ios talk and explained the best places to go etc

The pool looks sparkling new

Comfortable room, great sea view, even the bed was comfy by Greek standards, I managed to have a faulty iphone charger and panos the son who manages the place now found and lent me a replacement.

Even the breakfast was superior to what others I met had in similar places on the lovely island and for other meals the pretty port with very nice restaurants as an easy 5 min stroll away, as was the blue flag beach!

I'd go back tomorrow and met a couple who have stayed there for over 30 consecutive years!

Room Tip: Sea view not road

What a lovely place to stay. Wonderful family run friendly hotel. Great pool and lovely clean large rooms. You must go up the hill in town and visit the 4 churches and see the sunset. Amazing view from the hill. There is also a Restaurent called The Nest ..... Well worth a visit.
