U fanale was at the top of my list of restaurants to try while in Calvi. I was really happy to get a table for dinner the same day we decided to make a reservation. The restaurant location is stunning, the walk from the Citadel to the restaurant is lovely. We had a lovely table outside with an amazing view.
The food we ordered was excellent and the presentation was great (only thing we did not like were the fact that my goat cheese still had a label on it :) and the Corsican cheesecake was not to my partner's taste).
We were both very pleased with our food but if we had one advice to give to the staff it would be to try and be a little bit more friendly and warm (very awkward experience when we got to the restaurant and had to wait for someone to acknowledge our existence). Our waiter was OK but we were sitting in front of the bar and the person taking the reservation was constantly making nasty comments about people calling or being late. I also did not like to hear comments from that same person liking when the waitress was wearing clothes to show 'ses miches' (understand her behind). I think that a restaurant that pride itself to be listed in the Michelin guide should try and make sure that the clients have a more pleasant experience.
To sum up, well done to the people in the kitchen and a lot of work to do in terms of quality of the service for the rest.
