A few things of which you should be aware:
* The hotel is NOT in Calvi, but 30km south along a beautiful but narrow and winding coastal road
* The restaurant and public areas are lovely, all white and grey and in good taste. The guest rooms are pretty basic breeze-block constructions set among pine trees up a hillside away from the beach. I expected nicer rooms for the price, these were pretty motel-like
* Guest rooms have no a/c and no fans, so they are stifling hot in August and it is difficult to sleep
* Walls are thin (see later comments about our children / other guests' complaints)
* Only the restaurant and public areas of the hotel are on the beach / have a view
* The beach is beautiful but is pebbles, so don't expect to make any sand-castles
* There is an enormous campsite next door, so the beach is not exactly deserted! (On the plus side, the campsite has a small shop stocked with fresh food and beach necessities)
* The hotel is not a good place for families with small children. The owners were very friendly and obviously like children, they made an effort to serve dinner in a family-friendly way, and there are comic books and games around the hotel for them to use. However, the other guests seemed to imagine they were staying somewhere much grander: in the morning our children cried for their milk and both neighbours (from Paris, naturally) came over to complain. I absolutely accept that nobody likes crying children, however a/c or fans (so the windows can be closed) and thicker walls would have helped everyone
* Kids over the age of 5 or so would have a great time and be more welcome
* The restaurant is excellent (we had breakfast and dinner included in our room rate)

Overall, the hotel is quite nice, but given the unimpressive rooms it's not particularly good value for money. It would be a nice place for a couple to have a relaxed getaway off-season
