Description: Unless 3 km of the city center and nevertheless so far from to much people , from the crowd, and from the noise …On the road of the beaches of Palombaggia, you will be surprised to find, on side of hill, this old transformed sheepfold changed into a restaurant.Romantic place, distant sight on the city, the virgin creeper climbing on old stones, adjacent kitchen garden, garden in front of sunset, everything in this atypical frame contributes to make of this restaurant a place of exception.Whom you are in couple, in family, or between friends, you can choose one of the numerous tables nicely separated on the ground by old stones.

The restaurant is in an authentic house and settled in a very green area. The owner has welcomed us warmly with an aperitif and explained us the dishes in detail in French. The starter, main dish were really good and desert was okay. Then we were served very delicious liqueur on house. The starters and deserts were around 10 euros and the main dish was around 20. The quality/price is very high.

Lovely stone cottage in the countryside outside of Porto Vecchio. Only a few minutes from the old town and port, it is quaint and very rural. The staff are very welcoming and we got none of the typical nasty attitude that many people report in French restos. The staff was very nice to us when we dropped by a few days before our dining experience, and though the resto was closed at that time, they warmly invited us to look around. The nice hostess was very friendly and offered some suggestions for nice hiking routes near Bonifaccio. Their pleasant demeanor was a primary reason that we decided to come back for dinner a few days later. When we did, we were offered a complimentary glass of bubbly on the terrace before going inside for the meal. The chimney was lit for us, and we enjoyed a good meal by a toasty fire. We especially enjoyed their STROZZAPRETTI (corsican cheese and spinach dish) and their Gariguette et Brocciu (strawberry and cheese desert).
The place is small and reservations are probably mandatory, as we saw a few people arrive without pre-booking who could not be offered a table. However, instead of coldly turning them away, the hostess called another restaurant to make a reservation for them, and offered them a free glass of bubbly while they waited for the table to be ready AT THE OTHER RESTAURANT !. This is a sure sign that this a special restaurant, where you can expect kindness and generosity.

Visited tonight after reviews here and we were not disappointed . The quality of all courses was excellent . Refreshing to find a vegetarian option that was as good and as thoughtfully made as the meat dish . Menu all in French so potluck with the choices , but waiter Dan extremely charming and chose well for us . With this home style cooking I don't think you can go far wrong. Atmosphere is very pleasant both very rustic set in the countryside but also very sophisticated with a wonderful open fire on a cool evening .
Plenty of suggestions were also given for further eateries in South Corsica .
Fantastic .

To reach this restaurant you have to go through quite a small and rough road, the setting is very open and natural, you are eating in the middle of nowhere. The service is very good and the owner told us where to go and what to do. He even gave us a 30 minutes introduction to the Corsican lifestyle. The food was good but not gastronomical, you go here for a traditional big plate without nonsense. If you arrive in Porto Vecchio we recommend to start with U Cantonu...the owner will tell you what else to do for the rest of the week. :-)

My wife and I went to this restaurant following the advice of a friend. It's about 10 minutes from Porto Vecchio's Haute Ville, located in a beautiful environment with some rocky hills as a background and a privileged view of the port. The hospitality and attention of the personnel are great, and the food is fantastic. We would like to highlight:

- The use of local ingredients and the protagonist "chataigne" or "castagniccia" in many of the desserts.
- The possibility of having "coté terre", "coté mer" and "coté vegetarien"(!).

Although every option is quite good, we suggest to try at least one of the vegetarian dishes. And if you're lucky enough, chances are the chef shows up at the end of the meal and shares a word or two. All in all, a "must go place" of southern Corse.
