I went to secondary school, here in Obernai. This is a superb place to stay and ideally located to explore the best of what Alsace has to offer: vine route; Strasbourg; the Vosges (especially the southern parts- between Colmar and Mulhouse); the black forest.
I went to visit my parents and we went to the winstub (Brasserie), which is located just next to the gastronomic restaurant; it is the less expensive option, and we made this choice as there were 7 of us. We had a fabulous meal, excellent vine, very friendly and professional service. We also had 2 small children and the staff was very nice and helpful. A place to try in Obernai, prefer this to La Dime (another restaurant) as the quality of the food is more delicate here and service is much better. We had the 3 course menu at 31.50 Euros, which is very good value for money at these standards!

The hotel is very centrally situated and we were able to visist all restaurants by foot. The managment was very helpful and pleasant to deal with; our room was beautifully furnished and they have amagnificent indoor swimming pool with hanams and sauna; well appointed restaurants and bars. We would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: ask for a room in the main building, i.e. above the reception

Quite adequate. Pleasant comfortable room. Wish we had known that the spa was available -- would have enjoyed the facilities after a long drive. Didn't try the restaurant but it seemed very busy. Convenient location for walking to shops and restaurants.

Two nights in Obernai, traveling the Wine Route through Alsace and Lorraine. The hotel was very comfortable, the staff were very welcoming and solicitous of our comfort and desires.
The dinner was outstanding, well presented and filling, without being overwhelming. There were 26 of us in the group, all of whom have traveled with this group previously and my opinion of the hotel seemed to be echoed by most or all of the group.

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Unfortunately, we arrived at 7 PM one day in June, and the outside temperature was 36C or 97 degrees Fahrenheit. We were shown to our room on the second floor, which was spacious and wonderful in all detail, except the large standing fan gave indication that THIS HOTEL IS NOT AIR-CONDITIONED. As far as we could determine, it is not cooled ANYWHERE.

Of further note, there is only WiFi in the bar, though it is fast and reliable there. Also, for the last 24-hr hours of our stay, we had no hot water. We had to leave a day earlier than planned in order to find accommodations more comfortable.

We feel that four stars, in an area known to be rather hot at times, should mean that guests have climate control. Dear people at this fine hotel, do try to enter the 21st century.

We were only here for one night and did not dine at either of the hotel's two restaurants. But I cannot recall ever having been welcomed in such a friendly, helpful manner upon arrival. Our room (107) was one of the cheaper ones, but lovely. The bathroom will need redecoration in the next couple of years, but that really is a very minor quibble. Bed very comfortable and we made good use of the pool and steam bath. It's a charming hotel, which has been made by connecting various buildings together. Breakfast was vast and delicious. I hope to come back here.

Attended a company meeting at the hotel. Situated in heart of a quaint old town. The food was great and the service was impeccable. Staff friendly and location very quiet and peaceful. Large room with good quality bedding and excellent bathroom facilities. A great place to get away from it all out of season. Given the cold temperatures outside, the hotel was nice and warm too.
