We stayed here with another couple, for a week of relaxation and wine tasting in the Alsace. We were showed the apartment by the very friendly and affable Valerie, who spoke very good english. We stayed in the Gewurtztraminer apartment that can sleep up to 8 people but we found it perfect for four. There is also parking available very close by for a little extra and was totally worth the money. Overall, the apartment is in a slightly higher price range but if there are four (or even six) of you, you won't spend any more here than you would in a decent hotel on a nightly basis, and with this you have a stunning 17th century building with absolutely everything you need from a large front room to a decently equipped kitchen and a view right over the main street of Riquewihr. There are actual separate bedrooms on different floors; total privacy from the other people in your party. There was even a grand piano! You can see the apartment on i-love-riquewihr.com. The entire booking process is very well managed. Were we to come back to Riquewihr, this would be our first choice.

The Krebs family owns a few rentals within the ancient walls of the town, and are renovating another property to add to their collection. One could not ask for a more well managed, centrally located, immaculate and charming place to stay in a town that is the most visited in the area. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. The place we rented, called "Sentinel", is really suited for two adults in that it is a duplex with the bath on the second floor, right off the bedroom. A pull-out couch in the living area would accommodate an additional couple or two kids. The property is actually built into the wall of the city--you couldn't get closer to being part of the local scene, with bakeries and wine shops just around the corner. Wonderful.
