“Don't need the toilet!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2012

Having ordered our meal, I joined a queue for the toilet behind a French lady. We waited and waited, but the occupant did not emerge. When the French lady asked if they had another toilet, the waiter said "no" and told us to sit down. It was a good job that neither of us was desperate.
The food was very good and the Euro 16 Menu was particularly good value. The service was a bit slow, but I guess the quality of food is always the most important item in assessing a restaurant, so i would recommend this restaurant. Just don't need the loo!

“Best food and service (so far) in Arcachon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 August 2012

Polite, attentive and helpful staff.
Imaginative food that worked!
Best food we have had during our stay so far - which may take some beating - impressed with ingrediants, for example, white beetroot & pale green raisins with the merlu.
Take our advice - keep away from the "restaurants" facing the sea and go inland !

“Great culinary experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2012 via mobile

A good quality/price ratio, and not a tourist trap, not easy to find in Arcachon. The cook knows how to play with spices and the menu was short but fresh and innovative. I will definitively go back!

“Fantastic little restaurant - warm service and excellent food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2012

We visited on the 29th July 2012. Our French language is poor and you really need to be able to speak medium level French in Arcachon but the guy who served us realised we were novices at the language and really went out of his way to help us understand the menu.

Very friendly place and as far as we are concerned very reasonably priced. We had 2 x course meals with a 1.5 bottles of wine for 90 Euro. We think for this standard of cooking/service the price is very good!

Could not fault the service/food/atmosphere in one way.

I would suggest that you take something to wear if eating outside after 8.30pm. The outside seating is on the main street (lovely) and in the shade away from the sunset.

We would 100% go back or recomend to anyone!

“A lovely creative meal in an unpretentious setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2012

This is a sweet little restaurant in the town of Arcachon, France (the town itself is a great find). There are tables inside and out. The owner and waiters are delightful, and they clearly take pride in their establishment. The menu was on a blackboard; it changes each day and presents meat, fish, and vegetarian offerings. My daughter, who is a great cook herself and is often critical at restaurants, said she was delighted to find that the dish were truly creative. The prices were reasonable. They suggested a wine with our meal that was fantastic. We tried to go back the next night but it was closed on Sunday! Damnation!
