Arrived at about 19.10 to be told that they did not open until 19.30. Went for a short walk and then returned. At 19.30 we had selected our meals and were ready to order. First problem was that we had to order not only starter and main course but also sweet at the start. Now I often do not even know if I will want a sweet until I have finished the main course so black mark for this. For the first ten minutes there was no one else in the restaurant and then slowly people started to arrive. Despite this it took over 30 minutes to serve our cold first courses. Unusually no bread at all was served. The main courses arrived and one of us had shark that was served with the most unappetising broccoli ever presented. It was all washed up and as soft as baby food. At the end all the broccoli was left and the waiter asked us how our meals were. The unsatisfactory broccoli was brought to his attention and he told us that there were often comments because the vegetables were only lightly cooked and were on the hard side. Now we like our veg "al dente" but this was the opposite and he really did not appear to care at all. Sweet disappointing.
Between main course and sweet the table next to us became occupied and the man immediately lit up a cigarette. We were in a verandah area and did not expect smoking which we abhor. The smell was awful so we immediately moved inside to a new table to the obvious annoyance of the waiter.
