“Redifines budget hotel”

We don't often stay in a hotel one would think of as "budget" category. The Ibis Sarlat really brings Budget Hotel to a new level. I think it's mostly the hiring and training process that does it for them. There are relatively few employees on duty and they ALL are totally busy all of the time. But, always have to time to help you out.

It's a pretty spare room, but it's very clean and the bed is comfortable. As someone else mentioned the parking is a blessing. The internet is free and (for France) quite reliable. Definitely no frills -- just a nice room with a decent buffet breakfast and a great staff. One who really deserves special mention was Charley. A real human dynamo who keeps everyone happy with his fine service. Note to management: Do NOT lose this guy!

Holiday Inn Express could learn a thing or two from Accor Hotels.

Room Tip: I think the rooms on the back are the quietest, and the property is on a fairly busy street.

Very good stay - room was clean and comfortable and a decent size. Staff were friendly. Good choice for breakfast. Parking no issue and free. It is just 10min walk from the town centre - but just in case you are on your own be aware that the very last part of the road beside the hotel is not that well lit (no issue, we experienced nothing strange and it is only a very short piece but I would have been a bit uncomfortable if walking on my own at night). I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room was right on the road side but heard absolutely nothing :) - there is quadruple glazing so...

We were very fortunate to find this IBIS; Upon arrival we realized that it was very difficult to park a car and leave it! This hôtel had a safe and secure parking lot, we were able to leave the car and it was very well located for walking and sightseeing . One of the best attributes was the size of the room, the quality of the beds and the quality of the breakfast. The staff were extremely courteous, helpful, and friendly; the manager even took the trouble to use his personal computer to download our return airline tickets, when the computer wouldn't work, and the desk staff were more than happy to make reservations for restaurants. Highly recommended and a credit to the Accor chain of hôtels!

Wow. This was such a stunning deal and an unexpectedly great stop in our drive through France. The family room was a huge, oversized room with two proper twin beds for our teenagers. All the beds were very comfortable. Parking was easy and the hotel was easy to find. The wifi signal was strong. Absolutely no complaints.

The old city of Sarlat is perhaps a 10-15 minute walk away - just far enough that when we went to the city, we stayed there instead of going back and forth to the hotel. If you like foie gras, you have come to the right place!

Room Tip: The family room was really big for our family of 4.

Staff could not have been friendlier, room was basic but clean, stylish and brand new. Bed wasVERY comfy, breakfast was good. Beautiful town of Sarlat was a short walk away, not at all unreasonable.

Not a huge fan of the chain normally - find them very basic and unwelcoming - but this one was far superior. We will be back.
