“Good location and parking”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2014

We picked the hotel for a 2 day stopover on our way back to the UK because of the secure parking for the motorbike, short walk to the town centre and easy access to the road system. It's a fairly typical Ibis, and appears to have been recently renovated. Our room was larger than average, and had a capsule shower room rather than a bath. The bar seemed popular, but we didn't try the restaurant as we were only 10 minutes from the centre of town. There's a Lidl supermarket almost opposite the hotel, which was handy for supplies of cheap bottled water.

Located 15 minutes walk from the old town, sarlat has cafes and restaurants in abundance, the market on Wednesday and Saturday are well worth a visit, The village of Rocamadour is about a one hour drive and well worth the trip, if you decide to visit, park at the top of the cliff and visit the
raptor center it has the best display of free flying bird we have ever seen.

Located about half way between the Train Station and the Old Town Center. It takes about 12 minutes walking from the station. Keep left as you exit the station and head down the hill. In some places there are no sidewalks so be watchful of traffic and the gravel road can be hard on your rolling bag. Taxis are few and far between especially on weekends, so best to book ahead of time through your hotel. Our room was quite roomy with a very comfortable queen bed and a side bench for extra space. Basic prefab-style bathroom with built-in amenities. Breakfast and tasty snacks available next to lobby. Free wi-fi and computer available in lobby. Friendly and helpful staff. Grocery market close by.

Room Tip: Room 222 is a larger room over the front door. Rooms facing the street get more traffic noise.

Chosen again primarily for its location and parking facilities . It is in a quiet area away from the hustle , bustle of the city centre and yet minutes way to the highways for quick access and day trips to the surrounding villages . A leisurely 10 minute walk will bring you to the city centre . It is a fairly typical Ibis . Reception was welcoming , friendly and efficient . There are elevators both from the parking garage and the lobby ,breakfast was good . The rooms are pretty bare bones and the washrooms small but clean ,the beds are comfortable .

This was a very pleasant experience staying at this small hotel in Sarlat. This was our first visit to the area and the staff were very kind and helpful. The room was a typical Ibis room, immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and there was evening food service if necessary. We stayed for 4 days and definitely will stay here again.

The location is superb. It is a short walk to old town Sarlat and all the sites. The market on Wednesday is fantastic. This is a true medieval city with many excellent restaurants and venues all within 15 minutes of the hotel. It is also a 10 minute walk to the train station.

The hotel is about a 15-minute walk to the train station over hilly streets, and about a 10 minute walk into town, in a quiet area, though there's a large LIDL grocery on the next street. (Get directions at reception.)

The people at reception were very helpful and congenial, even letting me get into my room at 11:20 am. The room was clean, quiet and large, about the size of an American Comfort Inn room, and appointed similarly. There was lots of stowage space in the cubbies next to the closet, and lots of table space to spread my stuff out on, as well as a padded seat perpendicular to the table. The bathroom was modern and convenient.
