Had a lovely weeks stay at Pech Pinet. When looking for somewhere to stay, my daughter and I commented that this one seemed "too good to be true". Well it was good and it was true! Excellent quality accommodation at very reasonable price, beautifully decorated and with all mod cons. We couldn't make much use of the pool as it was a little chilly but my husband and daughter loved the coffee machine! We even saw a deer in the garden one morning just like on the photos on the website. Reading other reviews we were a bit worried as we don't have SATNAV but Google maps got us safely to the street Le Pech Pinet then we found the right property by the simple expedient of looking on the mailboxes. Great base for exploring the area, we particularly liked Lascaux, Rocamadour and Beynac but there is plenty to do and see. Highly recommended.

“Perfect in Every Way!”
Reviewed 1 November 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Pech Pinet is a wonderful vacation rental. We rented from Nicole for a week during our month long stay in France and it was one of the highlights of our visit. The house is a great base for exploring the glorious Dordogne region. This home is beautifully decorated, and completely spotless! We did not use the pool since the weather was rather chilly when we were there. Nicole doesn't speak much English so it really helped that my husband speaks French. Centrally located, with a grocery store only a couple of miles away. The kitchen was stocked with everything, even groceries! Nicole is very nice. I would recommend day trips to Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Beynac, and the Lascaux Caves while staying here. I am looking forward to a return stay, someday

“Lovely house, very well worth the stay”
Reviewed 1 November 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Natser12's review is spot on. Four of us stayed in September 2013 for 1 week. We did speak some French which made our stay a lot easier. The house was spotless and well equipped. It is in a quiet rural area close to Sarlat and there is a good supermarket a couple of kilometres away, but you do need a car with a GPS. Nicole was a gracious host. We really appreciated the welcome provisions of regional food and wine supplied by her as we arrived towards the evening and this made a welcome contribution to our evening meal. The house is a good base from which to explore the Dordogne and would also be comfortable for longer stays.

“Nicely outfitted with all the comforts of home...the pool was lovely”

We had a wonderful one week stay here with our 2 girls. Nicole welcomed us (she is the owner and lives in the lower level of the house) when we arrived and showed us around. She speaks very little Engish but when my daughter (who is in French Immersion) starting talking back to her in French she seemed so relieved to be able to communicate with her & they formed a bond over our week stay. The house had every imaginable kitchen item you could want, excellent wifi and nice comfortable, clean rooms... the house is spotless. She left us cheese, milk, butter, eggs, fois gras, wine, bread, water...WOW never had that before very sweet! The outdoor patio was where we spent our time as it was very hot and it was nice to cool off after a day of sightseeing in the pool!!! I made a few meals in the nicely outfitted kitchen and the kids played on the outdoor swingset. Sarlet is a few min drive away and the other towns are close by for restaurants etc..it was a nice base for the Dordogne region and the price for our week was reasonable. We had trouble finding the place without GPS so make sure you are clear on where you are going.
