Although it is positioned outside of Clermont-Ferrand city centre, it only takes 8-10min to drive in and is a far prettier and atmospheric hotel than the city based ones. Spa has opened up next door a few years ago. access is free to guests, across one of the floors/corridors though only for pool. You have to book massage etc. Hotel rooms fairly small, European style. Service excellent. Restaurant reputedly good though we didn't have opportunity didn't go. Would stay again instead of in the city.

We spent one night at this most majestic hotel. The suite was outfitted with elegant soft furnishings and the windows opened to magnificent views over the church and other lovely buildings.

The staff were at all times helpful and quick to respond to our questions. The spa and pool area was clean and fun to use. The evening meal in the dining room was nice as was the breakfast served in the room.

Would definitely visit La Princesse Flora again in this most beautiful setting.

Friendly, helpful staff, the room was alot smaller than expected, though lovely bathroom. Comfortable bed with quality bedding and towels. The hospitality tray was a joke! luckily we both didn't want a coffee or tea as only 1 or each! (There was one instant coffee sachet and 1 decaf, 1 ordinary teabag, 1 green and one flavoured, only 1 milk!) not very 5*. We managed to park in the public car park outside the hotel doors so very convenient but busy when we arrived. Loved the Spa attached to the hotel and loved the fact that you access it via the hotel lift (very James Bond!). We had dinner in the hotel which was excellent. I think the wine was overpriced and we were overcharged on this so watch your bill. We didn't realise till we got home. Only there for 1 night so didn't get to explore the town.

Arrived to not be greeted by a concierge, most unusual for a 5 star hotel. The room I was taken to initially was like a match box, and would have been far better with a single bed in it! The hotel did move me to a more suitable room. I had booked dinner in the hotel only to find that a private function was being held in the dining room, so had to be accommodated in the bar! One of the bedrooms was next to a laundry room and the machines were being used late at night. It was eventually resolved, but again not the sort of thing that should happen in a five star hotel.

As another reviewer has said, forget frostiness as both reception and restaurant staff were so welcoming and helpful. Parking is easy but pay when you are there - the public car park is big (watch out for events though if you definitely need a space). Rooms were great in a really nice building overlooking the square. Breakfast was gargantuan with a full offering - expensive but worth the money if you then skip lunch! Evening food was of very high quality, worthy of awards.

This hotel is in a lovely town. It is set in a main square with plenty of pay & display car parking. It costs about 4 euros a day to park there so don't bother paying 15 euros a day to park in the hotel car park.

If you turn right as you leave the hotel there is a park with waterfalls & a café which is worth a visit. You can walk up the hill & return down the other side.

If you turn left as you leave the hotel by the casino, there is a place where you can take the waters.

The hotel was lovely - we had a suite which was perfect. There was even a cuddly lion & sweets. left for our son. The staff were all friendly & helpful.

We ate twice in the hotel restaurant and were not disappointed. There is a rooftop bar/terrace that serves lunch.

The Royatonic Spa is well worth a visit. There is no charge if you are a guest at the hotel - you just need to go via the lift to the Spa in your robe & slippers provided in your room. Note that children under 7 are not allowed in. You should book any spa treatments in advance as it gets very busy.

A lovely treat!

Forget about French cold receptions. This front desk was extra friendly. They assisted us in finding great restaurants to dine at. Provided quick taxi service. Breakfast was phenomenal. Beautiful view. Great place to stay at.
