A very good seafood restaurant in Cancale. My wife and I went there for a seafood lunch after seeing all the good comments yesterday. The hosts are nice and friendly. We had the set menu with 3 courses and cost less than 20 Euro each. My wife had buton, moules frites and ice cream and I had seafood soup, seafood plater and chocolate fondant. The serving size of every course are big, the seafood are fresh and taste fantastic, including the dessert which are seriously prepared. Many customers had the fruits de mer and the serving are decorated in a boat and the size are huge but cost just a few Euro more for 1 person. I saw a couple who could not finish their food and the host let them to take away the leftover. Highly recommend if you travel in Saint Malo as it takes only 30 minutes by bus no. 10 from Gare St Malo to Cancale and the restaurant is right at the bus stop La Houle.

La Cabane is in a beautiful setting right on the bay.
You are greeted 1st by the gargantuan exhibit seafood platter, and then the friendly hosts.

We had the degustation (taster platters) one with mixed seafood and the other with oysters.
Both were fantastic and really impressively presented.

Our 2yr little girl was with us and the owner provider her with some chips to keep her occupied while we go through the massive platters. He then also treated her to a lovely ice cream with candy floss after the meal (on the house)

We really enjoyed our lunch and would definitely return if we're in Cancale again.

with so many reviews it could not get wrong. We ordered the sea platter with two crabs and lobster and it was delicious. We were first afraid that we could not be full with only some sea food, but in the end we could completely finish it.

The restaurant is owned by a couple, a colombian lady and a french guy, who were really friendly and helpful.

Very fresh and tasty food for affordable prices. The oysters I had were probably the best ones I've ever tried!

Definitely recommend this place!

We were looking for a lunch stop in Cancale, knowing that the area was famous for oysters. We passed several places, and La Cabane appealed to us and didn't look too touristy. We went in and were welcomed with great warmth, enormously, by the owner and his wife. The food was superb, the dozen oysters the men had were sumptuous. My moules a la creme were the best I have ever tasted, the added touch of bacon was so tasty. My friend had luxury comfort food, tagliatelle au saumon. The chips as we read about we're absolutely stunning! The owner brought a little "extra" amuse-bouch, which was his gift. This was a few small moules done with foie gras, white port and cream. The taste was divine. We were so taken with the whole ambience and so reasonably priced that we immediately booked for Sunday Lunch the next day. We were not disappointed. The men had a stunning plateau de fruit de mer, towering above their heads, topped with langoustines dancing on crab claws.2 hours later they were done, leaving only a pile of shells and debris. On both occasions we went in early and the place filled up quickly and people were being turned away. A must, if you are visiting Cancale and want an amazing gastronomique experience. The plateau de fruits de mer is the owner's speciality and he's got it well sussed!!
