Reviewed 11 November 2016 for a stay in September 2016

WE stayed here for two weeks with family aged 6months to 69!Two dogs who spent a lot of time playing in the stream by the house.Jon was a kind, helpful host who managed the usual idiocyncratic needs of our family with humour
location great,
only down side was the lack of dog friendly beaches

“Lovely gite, very well appointed, excellent hosts”

Cathy is the perfect host - she buzzes around the place, attending her garden and is available to chat but happily unobtrusive.
This is not one of those rentals with picky little signs about closing windows or drying towels - you are made to feel at home.
Very well appointed kitchen with everything even the experienced cook requires, massive TV with Wi, Netflix, large DVD collection.
large open plan space downstairs ideal for groups and families although be aware that the staircase is a spiral and open at the top and bottom.
Upstairs the rooms are a decent size, light and airy. The mezzanine is basically the landing so it would sleep 8, but no privacy for the 7th and 8th. I would say it sleeps 6 very comfortably indeed.
Only minor grips is the lack of a separate shower and the lack of a shower curtain around the corner bath shower attachment.
Outside there is literally acres of space to enjoy and Cathy is busy growing a new garden - this place will only get nicer with time
Thanks for a great stay

The moulin is situated in an idyllic setting, green and restful.
Downstairs is extremely roomy which was brilliant for 5 adults.
The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen of any gite we have ever hired. you could cook anything you wanted.
We enjoyed eating out in front of the house and having an early drink bu the summer house at the top of the garden.
Cathy and Jon were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
We were pleasantly surprised by the size of Lamballe and also its prettiness. there are plenty of shops and an excellent market.
Overall a great week.

“Location Location Location!”

We are staying at Moulin De La Cornilliere from November 14 until the end of March 2015 while we research this corner of France. We have had many friends to visit who have stayed with us. The house comfortably accommodates 6/7 people – even in winter when dining al fresco is not an option! The kitchen is wonderfully equipped. We have cooked for 9 people here easily. There is everything you could possibly need, including a washing machine. The owners of the house, Cathy and Jon have been fantastic and have immediately assisted with any of our queries or needs. The house is very pet friendly. We have our Labrador and cat here too. The beds are extremely comfortable. Plenty of hot water and heating - should the latter be required! There is a large unfenced garden with a river running along the side of it. The location of Le Moulin has been great. We are a 5 minute drive from the centre of Lamballe which is the nearest place for your daily bread and croissant requirements. There is a weekly market there every Thursday morning. With the train station, supermarkets, shops, parks, swimming pool, restaurants, cafes and bars, Lamballe has something to offer everyone. The house is 10 – 25 minutes from the most amazing selection of beaches. Our dog is in heaven with all of the coast and country walks. Dinan is 30mins away and St Malo 50 mins. Both places are beautiful and are very worth visiting. Montcontour is a small medieval town about 10 minutes south. The architecture there is stunning. Rennes is 1 hour away which is wonderful place with a south side and north side displaying timber framed houses and stone buildings. Jardin Du Thabor - botanical gardens at Rennes are very interesting for the horticultural minded.

“A great place to stay”
Reviewed 1 September 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed at this property for 10 days at the beginning of August. The house itself is beautiful with tons of period features and has lots of land around it to relax and play games.

Cathy was enormous help during the booking process and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable with recommendations of local attractions and places to visit.

The beaches are a short (20 mins) drive and are very nice indeed. We travelled to Saint Brieuc, Saint Malo, Mont St Michel and Dinan for days out and found this property ideally located for exploring.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a great holiday!

Stunning old house, the pictures barely do it justice! We weren't too lucky with the weather but St Brieuc was great to explore, and Lamballe just down the road was great for dinner, and ideal to pop to for those morning croissants!
Kathy was really helpful with directions, and setting up the BBQ for us one evening, will be recommending to friends!
