“Warm welcome and comfortable hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2012

Recently stayed for two nights as part of a package trip with Brittany Ferries. Warm welcome from the owner/manager. We had a room on the second floor which although slightly dated was very clean and had the most comfortable beds we have slept in in a hotel for a longtime. There is lift.

When my phone lost its signal the owner kindly made a restaurant reservation for me. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, good coffee.

Would happily stay here when we return to Roscoff

I found this hotel to be quietly efficient. Easy parking. Safe deposit boxes. A lift. Our room was clean, albeit small and sparsely furnished. It was disappointing that the handset in the bath wasn't arranged as a shower, and there was no shower curtain. No shower was my main disappointment. I'm not a fan of Continental Breakfasts but this breakfast buffet was fabulous. A huge range of food and a good selection of drinks. I'd use this hotel again in preference to a couple of others I've used in Roscoff.

I had a terrible experience in this hotel. I stayed for 4 nights and my opinion is different from the general opinion here in the trip advisor.
The rooms had carpet (not new) on the floor including the bathroom. They forgot to put new towels after taking the used ones.
A could hear what was going on in the other rooms.
The breakfast was nice but the service was awful. The people were not that friendly.

The Armen is a great hotel in a quiet part part of the town. Owned and run by the genial Olivier Vidie, the hotel has undergone extensive refurbishment, providing great accommodation for couples or families with comfortable beds and clean rooms. Breakfast is typically local, fresh bread, croissants and brioche with jams, meat and cheese, along with fruit salad yoghourts and cereals, juice and fresh coffee to die for. Make it your place of choice for an overnight stay or short break and see for yourselves. You'll return for sure - we stay there every time we go to France.

we have stayed there 6 times now and you could not find a nicer more helpfull owner than the guy oliver. nouthing is to much trouble for him .. 5 stars*****. it is a very short walk in to town. it has a lift if like me you find stairs a problem.you will all ways get a good nights sleep in the nice coumfy beds.if you need any help with anythink the owner is allways very helpfull we have found. the only thing we take is a portable dvd player as the tv is all in french apart from bbc news 24.

Room Tip: any room and you will get a great nights sleep....

We stopped here for one night after the ferry crossing to Roscoff, booking a quad room (double and bunk beds for the kids)

We found it within minutes of leaving the Port (courtesy of the sat nav) and its slap bang in the middle of the beach and the town centre, both being about 5 mins walk in opposite directions

The room was basic, compact, but clean which was alls that we were hoping for. We paid the extra 7 or so euros each for the breakfast which turned out to be reasonably good value for crossants, pain o chocolat etc etc

The beach in Roscoff was very pleasant, the kids loved it, and the town centre was very pleasant for a stroll and a reasonably priced meal

Roscoff is well worth a stay and a look around

We stayed here for 1 night after getting in to Roscoff from Plymouth. The hotel is well sign posted for new arrivals.
We chose this hotel as it had off street parking, which we found to be a car park at the front and the rear. We found a space even in the evening.
We had the family room which had a double bed and bunk beds. We also used the free wi-fi internet access which was useful for our two boys.
The breakfast was plentiful with fresh bread, croissants, meats, cheese, coffee and juices.
We even made use of the tennis court before we left the following day.
All in all a good hotel for a stopover and would use again.
