Knowing that French hotel rooms are notoriously small, we opted for a "Grand Confort" room ( 206) which gave us a bit more space and a very large bathroom with separate toilet. Very clean and bed was comfortable. Room overlooked the road and had additional glazing to help with the traffic noise but it didn't help with the heat. Room was hot even with window wide open and after only a pleasant sunny day. Breakfast was fine, nothing special, ok.
Staff were very pleasant and spoke good English. Free wifi was good.
Don't think we could have found the hotel without using our SatNav because of all the one-way streets in Vannes. It is very central and an easy walk to the shops, restaurants and the harbour. Access to the car park is very tight for anything other than an average size car, being down a narrow ramp with a tight turn at the bottom and a low ceiling height. Street parking is free on Sunday ( plenty of spaces available the Sunday we were there) but you would have to be away by 1100 on Monday as it's a prepay 2hrs max

I and my partner stayed here at the beginning of July and yes it was very hot (26 degrees at 10am, so probably 35 by 1pm) on all of those days. As other reviewers experienced we too had a very small room and kept bumping into things which wasn't such disaster considering how hot the room felt over the first night of our stay. Yes you could leave the windows open (there is not air-conditioner!) but then you can't sleep because of all the noise coming from the outside roads, you shut the windows and you can't sleep because you're sweating just by lying on the bed. I asked the stuff for a fan and I got one. And boy did I give it a good use! There is not much I can fault about this hotel..room was small but clean, stuff was very nice and helpful. There is only one thing missing.. the air-conditioner!

We made a last-minute decision to spend Bastille Day weekend in Vannes and we were pleasantly surprised to find space available at this individual and central hotel. Seeing reviews about the size of rooms we opted for a "double grand confort" which was quite big enough for two, and had separate bathroom and loo, which was very convenient.

The breakfast was good value for €9 pp and perhaps because we have a very small car, we had no problems with the garage and were very pleased to be able to use it as the streets were chockablock.

The staff were friendly and most helpful and I'd be quite happy to stay here again should we want to stay in Vannes.

Room Tip: It's worth paying a little extra for a bigger room.

A very good average town centre budget hotel. The staff are very helful, the whole hotel very clean, the location is ideal being walking, 3-5 minutes everywhere, but very quiet. I would suggest if there are two of you staying you check the size of the rooms, ours (408) was so small it was impossible to move without bumping into something, however when it was brought to managers attention immediately a very suitable alternative was offered.

Room Tip: Mention on booking or ask to see room on arrival.
