Courtyard by Marriott Paris Boulogne

We wanted something reasonably close to Roland Garros whilst attending the French Open tennis. This proved to be a great choice with friendly and helpful staff and excellent rooms. The hotel is very clean and tidy with a good restaurant and is about 20 minutes walk to Roland Garros stadium. However, central Paris is also easily accessible on the metro or bus and the Bois de boulogne is also close by. We would certainly chose this hotel again when visiting Paris.

Not too far from central Paris. Nice residential area. Friendly staff. Very economical. Great restaurants in the area. Not too far from Versaille. Friendly staff. If you want to experience a true French neighborhood this si the place.

This was our first time visiting Paris and we wanted to be in the city but the hotel prices were prohibitive. So we "settled" for the Courtyard which is located in a neighborhood outside of downtown. That said, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel is a wonderful property. Clean and comfortable rooms with free wifi, nice linens and towels, a great power shower, mini fridge and safe. The staff were so helpful and spoke fluent English (unfortunately my French is poor). We had read some negative reviews about the hotel restaurant but the two dinners that we had there were absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Don't hesitate to eat there. We discovered that the #72 bus, which you can catch across the street from the hotel, takes you by all the main attractions, i.e. the Eiffel Tower, Musee D'Orsay and Louvre (which are across the Seine from one another) and Notre Dame. For a mere 2 euros you can ride the bus all day.
To save some money, we bought snacks, water and wine and cheese for the room from the Monoprix supermarket one block away. There is a nice bistro two blocks away (can't remember the name) . Just go right and you"ll run into it. It's on a corner. The "Plat du Jour" is usually great value and very tasty. All in all, we wouldn't hesitate to stay at this Courtyard the next time we're in Paris.

This is my favorite Marriott property in Paris! I've stayed in most of the others when visiting for work or pleasure, some have a location that's better for tourism but I find this Courtyard Marriott offers the best combination of location and amenities at a reasonable (for Paris) room rate. The property is located in a neighborhood type area, small restaurants, grocery shops and bakeries are close by and offer an alternative to high-priced eateries in central Paris. The hotel rooms are very comfortable, the underground parking is excellent and you can be at the Eiffel Tower, Arc du Triomphe or Louvre in 10-15 driving from here. A Metro station is also not far away and taxis can be called from the front desk if needed. The staff are very friendly & helpful, I would like to say a special thanks to Mr. Benoit who exemplifies the Marriott commitment to excellent service!

Highly recommended +++++

Check in was quick, efficient and friendly.
As a Platinum member was given a quiet room in the back ( "garden view") as per my request. Comfortable bed & linens. Excellent service from housekeeping, front desk and even had the change to meet the new general manger.
Booked with Marriott points. Incredible luck that our stay correlated with the French Open tournament. Tennis players, officials, sponsors & fans roamed the hotel which added to the charm of the vibrant hotel.
This was a bright airy hotel that gave the lobby an open feel which made a popular meeting spot along with the rooftop bar.
Highly recommend this Courtyard located on the outskirts of Paris in a residential area with stores, restaurants & metro all within an easy walk.

I have stayed at many Marriott Courtyard hotels, but this was one of the best. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, and I enjoyed a sliding door that opened onto a small porch in the inside courtyard. The breakfast buffet was very complete. All of the staff spoke excellent English. While this stay was for business, the location would make it a "relatively" inexpensive hotel for visits into other parts of Paris. Would definitely stay here again.

On arrival on a hot day we dropped into the bar for a quick cold beer. For 2 small Kronenburg 1664's we were charged 14 Euros. Our tip is to walk about 150 yards down the road where we purchase a 6 pack of the same beers, a bottle of white wine and a litre of milk all for 15 Euros in a very good supermarket. The room was very clean and had an empty fridge (For our milk) and a safe. We overlooked a quiet side road but we did hear another guest complaining about road noise overlooking the main road. Bathroom was well stocked with shampoo, etc, and a big walk-in shower which was both hot and powerful. Don't know why but new soap was left every day. Why? The restaurant let down the whole 5 day stay. The main course on the Saturday night was a bit of salad and toasted sandwiches! Also the restuarant was always full but only had a couple of young waiters available and at breakfast it took 15 mins to get the fresh orange juice jugs filled up.
Not the hotel's fault but the fire alarm went off during the night as some silly idiot wanted a smoke!! It was very chaotic as there seemed to be just one staff member around and not knowing what was happening. It took a bit of time before the very noisy alarms were switched off and then to be told that it was a false alarm and we could go back to our rooms. I had luckily read to fire alarm message on the back of the door and I knew where the stairs were. Trouble was that the doors to the stairwells were not marked as such and just looked like another room door.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the side or back.

Dear Richard K,

First of all, thank you so much for writing a review on Tripadvisor.
It is so very important for our guests to read about the place they have booked in.

Please accept once again our deepest apologies for being woken up by our fire alarm.
As you already understood, our rooms are non smoking and goes as soon as it detects smoke in the room. This was done to make sure we have a safe property for our visitors.

As for your feedback regarding the soap, I do agree it is a waste and I will check with our housekeeping department. This helps saving our planet! :)

Richard, we hope to welcome you again soon in Paris for business or good times.

Thank you again for your trust and helping guests choose our hotel!
